  1. Was there any format for how they chose the different divisions? I'm just not seeing where Chapel Hill is in a division with schools half their size or even less than that? Even though Bullard is in their district, wouldn't it make sense to keep the teams out of the same division so they don't play each other before district? Just a thought.....
  2. Im pretty sure it doesnt matter now on what place they finish to determine who they play. CH gets the biggest school in district 18 that makes playoffs so prolly Jasper or Center again. Last time we played Jasper was at Lufkin and if we went to Center, it would be played somewhere south of here also, probably a good chance for the location to be Lufkin though.
  3. Anyone know who has the bigger enrollment numbers between Athens and CH, to see who will go big school in the playoffs? Thanks.
  4. Nothing against Athens but CH takes this one. You cant really compare past scores of mutual teams that they have played because either team could have had an off night that night. My opinion is if CH has another bad game (well a game where they don't play to their potential), then it will be a closer game than the BB one earlier in the year. But if CH plays like they normally do like they have in 7 of their 9 games this year, then they take Athens by 20+. It also doesn't help Athens cause with it being Senior Night in CH. I say the Dogs take the title but good luck to both teams. CH 48 Athens 21 Good luck to both teams in the postseason.
  5. They have one returning starter along with two kids who saw Varsity sometime throughout the year. But yes they are VERY young.
  6. They don't know yet but I don't think anyone can fill the shoes hes leaving behind.
  7. It was a more balanced program when Brewster was at the reins. We had a good football team under Castles, then moved to basketball season under Brewster. They should have provided him the benefits he needed to stay.
  8. Still, whether you win or lose, shake the hands and walk off the court. Bad example by the coach, but I guess your suppose to do what your coach does.
  9. Theres not enough time for the coach or experience for the players to have the same team they had last year. Come next year, I believe they have a chance. Just depends on who the district realigns with.
  10. Funny to watch, annoying to listen to :bangin: . As far as the girls go, Justice is an athlete. She would fit right in on the Bullard team and hang with them, IMO. She just needs some support and hardwork from her teammates.
  11. It may be, but Carthage only has like 2 returners.
  12. Oh wow, sorry to hear about the injury. Rotator cuff? I don't know anything about the new kid. I thought you were trying to establish that he was better than Whatley coming in from middle school. How hard is he throwing or is he an offspeed?
  13. Definetly would have to agree. Great arm along with a bat. He is one of the best in the state at the game. He'd be my first round draft pick if they had it in high school.
  14. How can a kid thats a sophomore or freshman already be better than Whatley? I'm just curious... Does he already have college commitments? This rumor may be true, but I will wait until I see it with my own eyes. IMO, Whatley was the key combination with Rumbelow. It was a great mix-up and if he would have stayed healthy, it would have been one of the best 1-2 combos in the state. I look for Langston and Rose to fill the 2 and 3 spots. Rose is a good pitcher, not dominant, but still throws the ball pretty well. He will get better with experience. IMO, I think it is better to have the opinion of an opponent rather than a parent's, which MIGHT be biased. Although some parents (Threejs, Tweekies) tell it as it is, even if it is their kid. I look for Bullard to do really well and run the table in district (no jynx). It is definetly better to start unnoticed and be noticed in the future. They have the talent to do so, especially with the senior class. Good luck to 17-3a.
