Whitehouse beat Marshall 16-0 in 5 innings, Ouch!

I loved going to the Dome as well. It was the place in its day. Minute Maid is pretty cool now. If the Astros would just field a decent team to make it worth going down there.

According to KLTV, former Ore City coach, Bobby Chadwick, was named today as the new head football coach at Spring Hill High School.

Conroe ISD approved Dereck Rush to Oak Ridge
24sports7 replied to Smoaky's topic in High School Sports
If coach Rush leaves JT, I think a great replacement would be former Kilgore coach Mike Vallery. I understand Val was one of the finalists for the Jacksonville job, so evidently he is ready to get back in the game. With his football knowledge and JT's talent.....wow, what a winning combination that could be! -
Is that the same Adam Kirby that was an assistant at Lon Morris College?

Mavchamp....Jacksonville beat Marshall 5-4 last Thursday, just an FYI.

Average attendence of the Earl Campbell Relays is about 400. If John Tyler boys and girls soccer team use Rose Stadium for their homematches, I think all those combined would draw more than 400 people. The Earl Campbell Relays are about the athletes, not the venue. The teams that the Earl Campbells and Adrians Peterson competed on ddin't decide to attend the event because of the splender of Rose Stadium, and neither will teams in the future. If the Earl Campbell Relays were moved to any of the Tyler private schools that have a suitable/regulation track, the same schools will come and bring the same athletes, just as they will come if a new track facility is built on the John Tyler campus.

Javonte Jones played and excelled against Timpson, so I think he is back.

According to NBC Sports, the two officials both live in the Pittsburgh area. Makes you wonder why the NFL doesn't have some sort of policy to prevent officials from calling games involving their home team.

Henderson frosh beat Pittsburg, 30-14, I believe, was the final.

Sub-Varsity Games Final Scores 9-9-10

9th grade game: Henderson 6 Kilgore 0 -
I agree with most, that Pitt is the favorite in this game, but Brook Hill has already knocked off one UIL 3A team, Lake Worth, this year, so the Guard deserve a lot of credit.
-
Amen on "Harlan and Pigskin"....they are very difficult to listen to...too many failed attempts at humor, too many plugs, more and more every year.....at 11 p.m. on Friday night all anyone wants is the dang score, not a sound bite saying, "This is Tim Russell, head caoch of the Harmony Eagles and I never listen to Harlan and Pigskin."---Come on man, thats an insult to the listeners! Hang in there KTRE, it's a long season.

Not to take anything away from Texas High.... J'ville has 10 sophomores and one freshman on the varisty roster which has depleated the ranks of both sub varsity units.
