  1. To me, Whitehouse is the better team and this district is playing out the way you would think it would. Whitehouse starts many sophomores and freshman, battled injuries, suspensions, and still in first. Coach Branch is doing something right over there. They’re scrappy, fun, and play baseball the old school way.....the right way. When a team wins the championship of any baseball league they don’t say, “they only beat them 2-1.” They beat em, plain and simple. Baseball is about managing the ebbs and flows. Whitehouse has done that quite nicely up to this point.
  2. Just looked like a passive aggressive swipe at the coach there. Your "huge advantage in the coaching department" may have been it. I could be wrong, Lord knows I have been before. And will again. Your first post rhetorically asks where I saw you say coaching lost the series, then in your 2nd post, you strongly imply.....coaching lost the series (and in bold). I wasn't scolding anyone. Just thought maybe it was a swipe at coaching in the original post. That is all. No worries here. Coach Kniffen Tyler Lee
  3. Ahh, the anonymous post about being out coached. Very brave. The long knives come out.... A couple of points, if I may... Although yes this was an upset, these rankings are not very scientific to say the least. One man, responsible for every classification, going on the hearsay of coaches and parents. Softball needs more of a model of THSBCA, IMHO. Secondly, coaches will receive (and some rightfully so in some cases) criticism, especially with an earlier exit than people intended. Throwing errors, inconsistency in hitting spots.....those were huge factors in this series. Players have to make plays, bottom line. There is no one more meticulous in planning and game planning that McFall. I can attest to that. To make a run, you have to be good and lucky. Things have to fall a certain way, while also putting your squad in the best possible positions to win. Kudos to Rains. They made the plays, and made the most of their opportunities. Will be a good series with Bullard.
  4. Wasn’t trying to be disrespectful just my opinion which that and 10 cents gets you 10 cents. i wish anyone success. Including Grapeland. Those are pretty hefty offers. Good for that kid.
  5. What offers? Not trying to be rude, but Grapeland's play is going to have to catch up with the rhetoric. I hope they make a run, don't get me wrong. Seems to always be their year.
  6. That's ridiculous if true...... and on what grounds? what is the issue?
  7. Is grapeland protesting the outcome of the game with alto?
  8. Grotemat will do a fine job. I don't think Lindale knows what they just got, but they will find out. He's coaching gem.
  9. Not a surprise. Alto will be making some noise for a few years. Younger team with ball experience. All that other stuff is just talk and a dumpster fire. That's why you play it.
  10. best of luck to everyone in this region.
  11. Harleton 9-1 New Diana 9-1 White Oak 8-2 Waskom 4-6 Ore City 4-6 Elysian Fields 3-7 Jefferson 2-8 Beckville 1-9
