1) SS @ MP---1993 both teams on the same sideline due to the visitor side flooded out. 2)chaminade madonna ( FL) @ tyler lee pretty big lightning storm before the game. we were in the stands for about 2 hours. after all the hype, and the team flying in from FL.....i wasn't going anywhere. great game

nah...that guy can take a punch. have you seen any more of his fights? he gets his #### kicked all the time, but he can take a shot and not get rocked. He keeps comin forward. Spider Silva definitely knocked him out easily. You're right about that. I don't like him, but he's known for his chin.

Based on what I saw in last years's playoff game, I have to give the coaching edge to the Fightin Famboys. Coach Wright made tremedous adjustments at halftime. Granted, Winns may have been limited due to some injuries. I just find it hard to believe the red raiders offense was so 1 dimensional. I'll be at the paris/SS game, but my father-in-law will phone in the updates for me.... good luck to both teams

wow! i now want to go on the pre-season record and say SS beats Longview 372-6. I will come down from the stands and kick an 85 yard FG. my enthusiasm could be getting the best of me here, but in my mind all things are possible.

Alot of 4A games can be swayed by a dominate player or 2. There are different ways SS can be stopped. 1st--- they stop themselves. penalties, dropped passes, poor execution 2nd---offense can't get on the field. the opponent hogs the ball, & runs the clock. 3rd--- sneak deion sanders, ed 'too tall' jones, and ray lewis into a uniform. seriously, seeing how good the defenses will be in the district will advance battle tested teams into the playoffs. ________________________________________________________________________________ my uncle is from longview. i thought he was just talkin smack when he said the lobos were only bringing the JRS and SOPHs to play SS...lol

when i was 7 or 8 i thought it was a sport. then I grew up. i watch occasionally for entertainment. i can predict who will win every match. except the occainsional PPV match. ( which I wouldn't pay hard earned $$ to watch) Here's how it works. ****if there's a guy in the ring with no intro music, no flashy jacket, or gimmick, and he's from the town the show is in. He will Lose. ****if a guy has a sidekick by the ring, he will win by cheating somehow. ****if the guy is a champion(with a belt) he will win or the other guy will be DQ. ****if the referee is knocked out, the good guy will pin the bad guy only to have a reversal of fortune. when he attempts to rouse the ref, he'll be attacked from the behind by the bad guy (or bad guy's accomplice) Suddenly the ref awakens to count the pinfall, bad guy wins...crowd boos!

mma fighters are the best of the best of combined combat sports( wrestling, muay thai, karate, judo, jui jitsu, etc...) some have paticipated in the Olympics and won metals... Randy Couture was an olympic alternate 4 different times. The skills these guys have are way beyond any WWE/TNA guy could muster. Now, if a guy like KAngle trained, with his background, he could develop into something.( if he was younger...) it's not a smart comparison though. MMA is hand to hand combat with rules to ensure fair competition. Military groups use these techniques. Israeli special forces calls it krav maga. US Amry Rangers trained with Brazilian JJ master Royce Gracie.

i watched rasslin since i was a kid...not so much these days. In the ARMY we had a black box with a chip, so we watched every PPV-WWF, boxing, UFC. If you drink alot of beer it's more fun. TNA is the future of rasslin. those boys are inventive. of, course it's not real, but Kurt Angle's gold metal is.

I'd like to add... if the ryan kid can pull his weight, SS will have a scoring bonanza every week. Even the best defense with the best scheme, and best prep will have trouble stopping the SS offense. I'm thinkin about season tickets this year...
