I gotta stop picking the dumb upsets like Texas State over Texas Tech haha

New Mexico running every play clock down before snapping it. Really controlling the ball and not allowing any momentum to the Horns offense. I'm going to continue my rant against Joe B getting more carries than Brown. Brown is much better at making guys miss and hitting cutback lanes. I love Joe late in the games when a team is worn out.

I expect East Texas boys, Steve Edmond and Dalton Santos, to flourish against New Mexico 's offense. Our CBs will have to make tackles and our DEs that ate so good at rushing the QB will have to stay home a drake on pulling guards.

I honestly thought Alabama should've been #1 to start the year. They are the defending champs and USC hasn't proven anything, they couldn't play in a bowl. Surprised OU, south Carolina, and Wisconsin didn't drop. I thought Notre Dame would jump inside the top 20

I'm still not understanding this whole root for your conference/rivals to win thing. I've never once rooted for OU to win a national championship or a game for that matter. I prefer they lose them all to be honest. All this garbage about how great a conference is, is just garbage. I want Texas to win and the rest of the Big 12 can fail miserably. I hope they feel the same way about Texas. In the end the only team that wins is the one holding the crystal ball! Alabama is the only ones that can pound their chest the rest of you SECers were just stepping stones in their way.

I believe this will be a very close game. Also ugly at times. Coach Boom is going to pressure the Aggie QB all game long. I don't know anything about the defense that the aggies will put on the field but it shouldn't be hard to stop the Gator offense. As Lion said the Gators are down and aren't what they use to be, so I'll pick the Gators as I believe their defense will make more plays.

Texas: can we As Longhorn fans take up a collection and try to persuade the Shipleys to have more babies!! South Carolina: they didn't look like a top 10 team BUT that QB is a tough kid.

Seeing Overstreet yesterday before the game I can confirm his manlyness. Him and Brewer will both redshirt if possible this year. Harsin/Applewhite have said the Jalen has improved his throwing tremendously since coming to Austin. They've also stated that the reason Brewer is penciled in at the #3 is because he was an early enrolle and knows the play book better.

Reports are that he'll be ready by Big 12 play

There is diffidently some things to work on but the offense was encouraging. Ash looked much improved in his decision making and accuracy. The running game is as advertised. Gray only had 2-3 meaningful carriers but both were for first downs. The Wyoming QB is pretty good but they were overmatched at the LOS. Texas' defense was great at times and ok at others. The safeties had some issues in coverage but I know Diaz will get that worked out. All in all it was a good opening game.

Much better second quarter. Ash looks much improved and the Horns D has 2 INTs. Malcolm Brown leading the RBs in yds but Bergeron getting most carriers.

Ugly first quarter, maybe jitters but ugly!

Watching pregame and Jalen Overstreet will probably red shirt this year but he looks like fully grown up man.

South Carolina isn't a top 10 team. Buffalo hung with Georgia for a while. West Virginia can be run on, but their O is legit. Coach Boom's Gators aren't going to win the East. Ohio State struggled early but found a groove.

McGee was cut Saturday.

McGee should have been cut...if you cant win the 2nd QB spot after 3 years in the same system then its time to move on.

This won't be a popular opinion but Jeff Fisher should receive some of the blame for VY's career.
