The umps werent paying a bit of attention to the play at third base. As soon as the guy was called out they turned away. I would have thought they would have said something when Maxey threw behind Rose but they didn't. If they would have paid attention to the play then yeah they should have had words with both players to settle down after the play at third. Those umps werent the brightest crayons in the box. haha. The ump behind the plate was one of the worst umps I have seen in a long time and I am saying that for both teams.

I wasn't over reaction to your comment Red. It is with what all was going on at the game after Rumbelow drilled Maxey and what people COULD end up saying in this thread. Just had to get the story completely right as well.

Geez, some people just don't understand the game of baseball. I was at the game and was paying very close attention to the play at third base. Catcher threw down to third, Third Baseman tagged the guy out, the guy was on top of his foot after the slide and wouldn't move so he drug his foot across his chest and went to the dugout while #7 for Tatum tried to grab his foot as he crossed over him. So the next at bat for Bulllard's third baseman, the first pitch goes behind him, the next three pitches came way inside, two actually turned out the be strikes, then finally on the 5th pitch he hits him. Intentionally hitting a guy is just part of baseball. If a pitcher is going to make it that obvious that he is trying to hit batter then yeah he better buckle up his next at bat. Rumbelow continued with the game of baseball and drilled Maxey right between the numbers. I don't understand why Maxey attempted to go at Nick cuz he is the one who made it so obvious trying to drill Rose. Its baseball, that is how it is always going to be. GET OVER IT.

What is the schedule for 17-AAA baseball tonight? I know that Bullard is at home against Tatum. Who will Tatum be throwing?

Bullard 4 Gilmer 3 Got updates through phone calls and text. Not sure who it was for Gilmer but he hit a 3 run homerun to tie the game up in either the 4th or 5th. Bullard then scored on a wild pitch in the 6th. How did the Tatum - Glade h2o game end up? Also, how is Brown from S Hill doing? Did he play at all tonight?

Just got an update that Bullard is beating Spring Hill at Spring Hill 14-0. Both came in undefeated in district. Got information by phone call that Brown for Spring Hill came out of the game with an injury. Hoping he doesn't have to go through anything that I have been through the past year. He is one heck of a ball player. Nick Rumbelow was on the mound for Bullard and also hit a 3 run home run during some point of the game. Anyone else have updates from District 17-3A baseball?

I watched them play in Canton last year against Spring Hill in the regional quarterfinals and they looked really good.

I want to say they are in Waco. or the Waco area.

He did really well in the I20 Classic. He hit two homeruns in the tourney and pitched a pretty good game against Van. I think he could have been scheduled to pitch yesterday but the game was canceled. With district starting against Gilmer next Tues. I would think he would just get a few innings of work in on Friday when Lindale comes to Bullard. They also host Brownsboro this Saturday. Overall at the I20 classic, bullard hit the ball really well. They faced Huddle, who looked really good in the championship game on the mound. Bullard defeated them by simply putting the ball in play. Huddle had some bad luck getting a few errors from his infield to keep a two out rally going.

I wasn't at the game but was getting score updates from family who were there. Good Job Bullard. Sounds like you stepped up some since the Tatum game.

Wow, my prediction came out right. Last night's game was the District Championship game. I also said that Bullard didn't need to go into this game relaxed and well. Unfortunately they did and Tatum did what Tatum does best. The Eagles took complete advantage of Bullard's relaxation. They came out on fire, running the floor, playing defense beating Bullard in every aspect of the game. It seemed like Tatum's crowd was getting into Bullard's head just a little bit too much. I got to give it to Tatum's fans. They rattled Bullard like crazy. Im not at all saying this is what made Bullard not play well but you could definately tell the Panthers were getting frustrated with all of the yelling and cheering. Bullard needs to knock out all of the noises, grow up and play the basketball that they are capable of playing if they want to get through the first round of playoffs. I have known the whole Bullard team for a very long time and I would hate to see this talented bunch end their basketball season looking the way they did last night. Congrats to Tatum on the District Championship and good luck in the playoffs all the way through. Just like I said a few weeks ago, Tatum has got to be one of the toughest teams to play on their own court and should never be underestimated. Good luck to both Bullard and Tatum entering the playoffs. what are the predictions of who Bullard will play first round and Tatum in the area round since they get the bye during bi-district?

I have to agree with you on this one Frisco. I don't know much about Texas High or Marshall so I can't say anything about them but Whitehouse? ahead of Gilmer and Carthage? Honestly? Both Carthage and Gilmer would have destroyed Whitehouse this past year. Way too much talent for the Wildcats to handle. Not saying Whitehouse isn't a good football team but Gilmer AND Carthage did win State. Whether Whouse is 4A or not Gilmer and Carthage have a ton of talent. It should be pretty simple to see that when you see how many D1 athletes Carthage and Gilmer produce compared to Whitehouse.
