This ENTIRE situation I blame on the CH administration!!!! They have ALLOWED this to happen!!!!! This team hasn't had a REAL soccer coach since Tracy Steele left in 2008!!! CHISD has neglected to hire a coach that is a real soccer coach that has a GOOD history as a soccer coach!!!! Instead they stick a Spanish teacher tag along with the girls head soccer coach job (for the past 2 years) and they are hired because they can teach Spanish NOT because of there soccer coaching abilities!!!!! Well not too many coaches that I have found teach foreign language classes, and the coach from the 2010 season was a TOTAL DISASTER in the classroom as well as on the field!!!
For the past 3 years the CH girls team and parents have worked their butts off and beaten all odds to be as successful as they have been going to the playoffs in 2009 & 2010, and to bring the girls soccer program up to what is was at the end of the 2010 season!!! They have had to deal with coaches that have ridiculed them (i'm not talking about constructive critisism) ,constantly telling them they are no good, no talent girls, coaches who care so much they are on their cell phones on the sidelines talking to whomever DURING the middle of games, and it seems this year the HEAD girls soccer coach isnt even coaching the Varsity, and I could go on and on!!!
Since 2008 there has been a core group of 5 girls that have held this team together along with their parents, and sadly this year they lost 2 of them and the other 3 are graduating this year!!!! If the upcoming parents and players dont take a stand and pull together to get a real girls soccer coaching staff in place the program is going to fall apart and that would be very SAD!!!!!
I know there will be those of you who say the girls play a big part in this, but I can tell you from my many years in soccer if the right coach is at the lead then everything else will fall into place!
This is just my personal opinion on the subject!!!
