congrats to coach comfort on all east tx coach of the year.......and to all the girls who made all east tx...i am sure parents, and school are very happy for them.....great man and girls who did a great job.... good luck next year...... :notworthy: :happy65:

k..... let me just say this about all the post on recruiting..... if you really think that there is only one school that does that then WAKE UP...... this kind of thing has been going on for years and years.... people use excuse after excuse to move into other districts.... be it for athletic or other reasons....y now is it all of a sudden an issue...... some get away with it and as long as it is good for that person or school then people at the school don't mind but if it is another school in their district then they want to complain or start throwing trash talk.....and for everyone who is making as issue of this maybe you should go back and look to see if this has ever happened in your school..... rest assured i would almost bet at some point it has... 2a will be a great season to watch as well as 3a with gilmer, bullard,chapel hill, sh,tatum,gladewater...... good luck to all the kids..... and remember parents should lead by example winning comes from within and includes respect and class for yourself, teammates, and opponents.... :thumbsup:

agree.... sh defense did a great job last nite.... had a couple of errors that cost them a couple of runs but for the most part got their job done... sh waited a little late to get some sticks going...hope tonight will be just as exciting... maybe sh can get the sticks going a little earlier and make this one a little tougher... play hard, do your job, give 110% plus, win or lose i know that sh is proud of these classy young ladies.... i have to say myself you have represented your district well.... good luck!!!!!! hats off to the lady leopards :)

first of all slow down.... just come on here like you do and state things i see or my opinions.....and just because she is 15 in my opinion does not make it a good enough reason for her to be rude... and it is not about my expectations!!! but will say after being at the games on sat. i now know exactly where she gets it from.... in my opinion everyone who booed the sh girl should take or sign up for some kinda of sportsmanship/class maybe even do it as a group..... that was in my opinion very uncalled for. so now congrats on a very well deserved win lady panthers... good luck in the next round

went to this one and man what a game..... was very impressed with both teams....but i will say this....while i am sure not everyone will agree but some of the people from rc were sure rude to the sh people.... saw from my own eyes one of the moms from sh tell the pitcher good game and she just threw her hands up and made an ugly face back to the sh mom. know she was probably upset but sure doesn't show much class for your school or community.... maybe the van girls should hold a summer camp for sportsmanship.... not trying to bash anyone just thought it was kinda rude.... anyways congrats to the lady panthers....way to stay tuff and not get rattled.....won't miss the next one as i am sure it will be just as great of a game....keep representing the district with the same class you have always had....

just spoke with a gentleman about the fields at lear park and he said they will be ready by the 7 game time..... unless there is a flood between 5 and 7 they will play

if you are speaking about lacey liles she does not go to tatum anymore... she moved in the latter part of the district season to ef. wont play anymore sports until her senior year i believe. correct me if i am wrong please.

agree with the great series.... but have already heard that the sh girls are dedicated to the game and will not be at prom long.... they are wanting this bad. good luck to both but have to say go get them lady panthers... represent us well.

have seen both of these teams play so my opinion is get ready for a long series might set a new record like hallsville did. both teams are great on the field and in the hearts. good luck to both teams. either one will represent well.

wish she could have stayed in softball... watched van and sh play and she is one class act....as well as the girls themselves... good luck coach.... tuff break girls

congrats to all but watched those van girls and a special congrats go out to them.... that whole team should get the MVP SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD.....that is if there was one.... good luck next yr. van girls..wish you had your coach for your last season.

sh plays thurs at 7pm lindale sat at 2pm sulphur springs (with if 3rd game needed to follow) i believe le plays at 12 pm on sat (if game)

this is just my opinion... but... at the hs level your varsity is who will take you to the playoffs, etc. so in my opinion you should take your 12 best players (wheather they are seniors, juniors, soph. or freshman) put them on varsity...then your next 12 players put them on jv (because the jv is usually who works out with the varsity).... then have the 12 best freshman on the freshman team. i have seen teams have seniors and juniors on varsity and all they ever do is sit the bench. to me this is taking up someone elses spot who may be a better player but because they are a soph. or freshman they get overlooked just so the coaches don't have to deal with parents. sorry but these days there are too many girls who play club ball and don't sit on their rumps and deserve the chance to be on varsity because of their talent not just because they are upper classmen. once again this is just my opinion and believe me have coached summer leagues and been involved in sports all my life and with my kids. good luck in whatever you choose to do.
