Gotta go with Canadian. Filled the QB spot with a Junior that has thrown 37 TD's to just 3 picks so far. They are 10-0 for the first time since 2005. They are clicking on all cylinders right now and are down to only one starter that is hurt and he is out for the season. Good Luck to all teams as the regular season winds down and the playoffs begin.

We got 2 inches last night. More today. Finally saw the sun late this afternoon. We get more rain in Canadian than you might think but at least we don't have your East Texas humidity.

Yea it was not the greatest. It was like playing on asphalt. When did ya play at Dalhart? My Uncle was a coach up there and my cousin was a pretty good player for Dalhart.

Canadian is playing their 3rd season on their turf field. I also know Mart plays on turf. We are the only school in our district to have turf. My avatar is a picture of Wildcat Stadium in Canadian.

Even though we lost 20 players to graduation I still believe Canadian will go 10-0 through the regular season with a possible rematch with Wellington in the Area game which should be a good one. If Canadian can win that one look for them to get on another roll and who knows where it might end up.

Being from Canadian and having seen first hand what they did to us I have to go with Stratford. Just like BigDog55 said Canadian was bigger and faster than Stratford and they just came out hit us in the mouth and beat us. Good Luck to both teams but I will take Stratford by 14+. Roll on District 1 the best district in 1A this year. Oh yeah I forgot to mention Canadian Wildcats BACK TO BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game was 13-7 Canadian at the half. Great adjustments made on offense for Canadian and they rolled in the second half to their 2nd title in two years. Great season Mart. Canadian Wildcats Back to Back State Champions Division I Class A 2008 Division II Class AA 2007

I of course will take Canadian in this one. They are on a roll and I believe they are better than last year at this point. They have added a very potent running attack to their already stellar passing game. I won't make a score prediction as I know Mart brings a lot of tradition to this game and will be a tough opponent. Safe Travel to all fans. Go Canadian Wildcats and Stratford Elks!! Roll on District 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game was 48-0 at the half as Canadian Scored at will. Boles Senior RB Gilliard went down on the 2nd play of the game and never returned. His presence would not have made much difference as Canadian only punted once if my memory serves me correctly. Great Season Boles!! You have some very good young talent (#34) and I am sure you will make another run next season. Go Wildcats Win it again in 08!!!

Canadian Wildcats are 64-8 over the last 5 years. Only in 2004 did they have more than one loss. They have made three trips to the Semi Finals during that span and won the State Title last year.

I gotta go with Maud in this one. From what I have read (have not seen them play) they seem to be the team to beat. I just hope our fellow district 1 team Stratford can take care of business and maybe we can see a game between the Cardinals and Elks. That would be some great football. Good Luck

I do not think Alto winning is an upset at all. They are the defending champs!! Mart lost early in the playoffs last year and if they beat Alto this week that would be the upset. Alto is still the champ until someone knocks them out of the playoffs. I for one would like to see them win out the rest of the way and hopefully have our Canadian Wildcats win out and have the two defending champs duke it out for all the marbles. Lots of football to play between now and then and good luck to all.

Big game this week between two great football programs. Alto is trying to keep up their winning tradition and put another notch on their State Championship board and Mart is trying to get back to their winning ways after an earlier than usual exit from the playoffs last year. What does everybody think of this game that I think is the most interesting matchup in 1A football this week. Good Luck to both teams.

Up in the panhandle we use chainsaws.

We will be big school in 1A. We turned in an enrollment of 198.5 which is just 1.5 students under the 2A cutoff. We are expecting a huge crowd to start rolling in about 5 tomorrow afternoon for the 7:30 kickoff. Some people are saying to expect better than 5000 fans. That's great for a couple of 1A programs. :notworthy: I know I have not been the most popular poster on this site in the past but I thought I would get and East Texas opinion on our huge game coming up this Friday. The Canadian Wildcats now 6-0 and winners of 19 straight take on the always tough Stratford Elks in Canadian tomorrow night. I was just wondering what the regulars on this site think the outcome will be.
