Real Mavfan wasn't the score 15 to 3 @ half time? (with 8 points given to Marshall) Two weeks or not sounds like they were playing some ball. More talented team? An offense with 2 to 3 lineman being recruited by D1 schools should have put up more than 19 points. Even though the score was 28 to 17; the offense only earned 19. Your success on defensive was a sideways compliment; why not give the kids and coaches over there credit.

Mav01 You guys have played both T High and PT; I know you handle T High pretty rough, but PT played 4 quarters with you guys and had chances to win. Why do you think T High takes this in a close one?

Despite the critics nonbelievers; Pine Tree is a better football team than they have been in years. PT had good showing against Marshall but fail short, and T High battled with Hallsville and came away with a win last Friday. So the real question is who takes this one?

3rd place goes to the mustangs if they win by at least 2pts. What does everyone think?

Not at the practices but maybe that is a problem.

Maybe the parents aren't quiet and just watch. Maybe they sit in the stands keeping up all kind of noises like laughing and making comments to the kids-while they are in practice. There is nothing wrong with watching practice, but the man made a change, get over and get a new hobby.

You guys beat Kilgore last year, so you should be in the hunt. As far as Overton the are returning most of their offensive line, and the also have some players that were out with injuries that should make a difference. They had 2 DE's that were coming along pretty good last year and a defensive tackle #78 or #75 that should help anchor them on the line as well.

I think Overton has a chance. They are picked 4th behind Cayuga, Alto, and Grapeland. They were a touchdown from the playoffs last year. Didn't graduate a lot, and got some talent coming back.

Alright we got the bball going, but in a couple of weeks baseball is going to get cranked up. What teams should we have our eyes on? Don't just stick your team out there, have some type of stats or key players to back it up.

Overton

The Overton Mustangs are hosting a powerlifting meet on Jan. 24. If you are interested in coming they are taking the first 10-12 girls and boys teams that respond. You can email their powerlifting coach at [email protected] if you are interested and would like to recieve more information.

Overton has faced some good backs in their Mt. Enterprise scrimmage, and in their game with Big Sandy. If they play their game, Cayuga might have a game on their hands.

How bout them stangs, three hard fought games in a row and we got this one. Way to go mustangs

Someone mentioned the underdogs earlier. Just to make things interesting I hope a team like Overton, Carlisle, or heck even Cushing comes up and surprises people and jump in the playoffs.
