  1. Hats off to the Cowboys. A Giants/Cowboys match up, maybe in the play offs, that should be awesome !
  2. I'm not in love with the tapping style, but I appreciate it. It has changed the complexion of the instrument. Here's Steve with a softer side which is absolute excellence btw -- :freak:
  3. Somedays, America is falling so fast it is hard to keep up. Unless people get back to God-Fearing Patriotism, and decide to pull away from the heavy guidance into Socialism, there will be no Free America remaining. This is a forwarded email with my comments. True-checked it on SNOPES http://www.snopes.com/rumors/noflags.asp - GOD BLESS AMERICA !!!! - IN GOD WE TRUST!!!! - ONE NATION UNDER GOD!!! ABC News bans Flag Lapel Pins!! (Unbelievable)(what will it take to wake the citizenry up to the agenda at work?) Yesterday, Sept 11 '08, the brass at ABC News issued orders forbidding reporters to wear lapel pin American flags, or other patriotic insignia. Their reasoning was that ABC should remain neutral about "causes". Since when is support for preventing our death & destruction some sort of a cause? Since when is Patriotism to be discouraged. I urge you to boycott ABC and its sponsors and affiliates. We are slowly losing everything our country stands for, and everything our men and women fought and died to preserve. "All it takes for evil to triumph, is for good people to do nothing."
  4. The Beattles Day Tripper has a nice riff.
  5. Who Am I? I am under 45 years old, I love the outdoors, I hunt, I am a Republican reformer, I have taken on the Republican Party establishment, I have many children, I have a spot on the national ticket as vice president with less than two years in the governor's office. Did you guess? I am Teddy Roosevelt in 1900 Enough said.
  6. If you're a guitarist, and love innovation, then might I suggest you pick up Alien Love Secrets by Steve Vai. No, this isn't another run of the mill, heavy metal, scream the high notes, DVD. This is some amazing stuff, that would gain the respect of even a country guitarist.

  8. Brand New Strings By Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder.
  9. This is a must watch, and this is the real truth regarding Obama. Newt's take down of the reporter with a highly reasonable challenge that the reporter refuses to respond too, is at the end of this short video. It simply lays out the truth regarding Obama with a "Please tell me" question from Newt Gingrich. It totally says it all. Newt Gingrich takes on MSNBC Reporter who Backs Off... Please turn on your sound. http://newt.org/tabid/193/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/3682/Default.aspx A snarling MSNBC commentator Keith Olbermann afterward said he would come after Newt on his points, but also retreated and never did so.
  10. The Eagles seem well formed and back to their old self. However, one game in, it's needless to say it's difficult to discern. The Cowboys didn't rack up as many points as The Eagles, but seem to have a handle on the game throughout. I'm looking forward to this one. Final Score - Eagles 34 Cowboys 31
  11. When I was a kid, I never EVER imagined these horrible things such as intentionally killing innocent children in a mothers womb, and an "option" for mere teenagers to, murder. If Sarah Palin is making or influencing young Bristol not to murder her baby, then I say "very well done" to Sarah Palin! A question though. Where were young Bristols parents at when she and her boyfriend were off somewhere, making this baby ?
  12. September 4, 2008 “Newest Palin Smear: She Cut Special Needs Budget” [uPDATED] Happyfeet SarahW linked this in the previous thread, but we may as well put it out here in the bright light of day. From The Weekly Standard: I just watched CNN’s Soledad O’Brien sandbag former White House Communications Director Nicole Wallace by asking her how Sarah Palin can claim to be a defender of special needs children when she cut the budget for that Alaska office by 62 percent. Wallace wasn’t familiar with the charge — which isn’t surprising, since it’s only being made on DailyKos and another liberal site. (Tip for Ms. O’Brien: DailyKos is not a reliable news site.) This charge is based on looking at the budget for Alaska’s Special Education Service Agency for 2007-2009. In fact, the December 2006 budget document that they cite would have been prepared by the outgoing administration — that of Republican Frank Murkowski, whom Palin defeated. What’s gone unmentioned is that the Palin signed into law a dramatic reform of the state’s education financing system that equalizes aid to rural and urban districts, while significantly increasing funding for special needs students. From the publication Education Week: Gov. Sarah Palin and state lawmakers have gone ahead with an overhaul of Alaska’s school funding system that supporters predict will provide much-needed financial help to rural schools and those serving students with disabilities. The plan, enacted in the recently concluded session of the legislature, is based on recommendations issued by a legislative task force last year. It will phase in a greater flow of money to districts outside of Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city, over the next five years. Advocates for rural and remote schools have lobbied for years for more funding, in particular noting the higher fuel, transportation, and other costs associated with providing education in communities scattered across the vast state. A second part of the measure raises spending for students with special needs to $73,840 in fiscal 2011, from the current $26,900 per student in fiscal 2008, according to the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development (emphasis added). So the Netroots and CNN allege that Palin cut special needs funding by 62 percent, by crediting her with the budget proposed by a political opponent. And the truth is that rather than a 62 percent cut, she’s actually increasing special needs funding by 175 percent. It’s no wonder a majority of Americans think the media is trying to hurt Palin. Of course, as we’re now being told, facts don’t really matter. It is perfectly okay to lie and lie until lies become perception, because in the end, the greater good is what’s most important. And the greater good has nothing to do with increasing special needs funding by 175%: it has to do with getting Democrats into power. And then, you know — we can take it from there… http://proteinwisdom.com:80/?p=13211
  13. Subject: Senator Cornyn's True Colors Well it appears that Senator John Cornyn has undermined his stated position of being a supporter of secure borders. Many of us in Texas, including me, believed that we had a champion in our corner in the fight to stem the flow of illegal aliens and seal the southern border. When you read the exerpts from the Senator's on newsletter, and then consider who the players are that he is aligning himself with, it is clear that we have been duped. In order to appreciate the significance of the two events cited below, you must first read an opinion piece by then President and CEO of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, A.J. Rodriguez Comment: Immigrants Important Asset to Nation. The piece appeared in the San Antonio Express News back in February 2008. Mr. Rodriguez makes it clear that he and the SAHCC support the continued flow of illegal aliens and an open border. This is the same SAHCC that Senator Cornyn met with on August 27, 2008. If those of you in Texas, after having digested the information provided in this email, feel as betrayed as I do, then send a message to Senator Cornyn on election day. At some point there is going to be a political price to pay for ignoring the will of the people. Cornyn Highlights Integral Role Minority-Owned Businesses Play in Texas Economy - 08/27/2008 Sen.
