Did you see the 1978 throwback suggestion? What did you think about that one?

The white one? Yeah, I liked it a whole lot more than the photo shopped tceh helmet, but wouldn't want in every game. I think it would be cool if they used that white one like UF does with their helmet.

    No they haven't.

And the only thing more idiotic than a Texas raised person liking OU is one of those OU fans accusing Texas and A&M of illegal actions.

I was on that team. That was one of the greatest moments of my life.

    1) This is about NFL draft picks.

    2) I'm not mad about anything. There has been one guy switch to tu, and if he wants to play for tu over A&M, then good luck to him.

    3) You still haven't answered my question. A&M has the second most of any school from Texas, so please explain what your point is.

Good for him. I figured he'd end up on a roster somewhere. His bad outing at the combines really kind of messed up his draft potential.

It probably didn't help he got worse every year.

It's so sad ... I feel bad for all of my friends who are Texas alums. At least when Aggies show their behinds they're usually actual alumns or students. When its Longhorns, it's usually wannabes who would need Jesus to come down and divinely intervene for them to get near the academic doors of UT ...

Texas historically is the better team. This competition has been going on for what, three years now? Things are always cyclical, especially on the micro scale. From the opinions and comments of certain T-shirt wearers on this board (*cough*check out the posts above*cough*), they must have slapped their grandmas when a team as lowly and lame as the Aggies beat them on their home turf this past season. Their mothers probably got a few slaps when the cretins that are the Aggies beat them in any of the other sports. At least, that's if you go by their opinion of the Aggies. It's amazing they even let them on the same field, apparently. You can say "One season, big deal, the Longhorns have beat them 21323123 to 23 in the past 500 years," but that doesn't change your low opinions of the Aggies, and by your opinions, it should be embarrassing for the Ags to even keep it close ...

I can understand being a homer. We all have our teams we consider our own. And I can understand having some attitude about how good your team is. What I don't understand, however, is how people who are home grown here in East Texas, never stepping foot in the classroom of ANY of the institutions bantered about on SDC, can be so dad-gum arrogant towards schools that are considered rivals (Yes, yes, I know to you folks with the library of t-shirts out there don't think the Ags are rivals). You have nothing to be arrogant about.

Could you please type that again on smokie's reading level?

    ????

If I'm a coach who wants a kid on my team, I'm going to say whatever I have to say to convince him I have the scheme that best fits his talents, and tell him all the reasons other scheme are bad for him.

...if i am a coach that wants a kid...i am going to say do you really want to play for fran?...:zorro:

That's the difference in you and Mack Brown. He has class. He might suggest something like DJ's issues with the 4-2-5, but he wouldn't ever attack a fellow coach like that.

...must be the reason all those others decommited as well...:zorro:

No, but I can give you the reasons why they did.

    1) Aundre Dean- He didn't feel that he fit into the A&M offense. The option doesn't really fit his runniing style. He's an up the gut kind of runner. Plus the California aspect really interested him.

    2) Britt Mitchell- Small town guy that just jumped at the first offer he had. It sounds like he was an OU fan growing up, and that at the time he was just really excited about getting an offer from a major program.

    3) Damian Square- Miami came calling. Square's uncle played for Miami a few years ago and Damian pretty much grew up around the program. He likes A&M, but as he said "Miami is just in my heart."

    4) Leroy Chevalier- He is still very high on A&M and it wouldn't surprise me to see him commit back to A&M. However, he wanted to take other trips and said he did not want to sneak around of the A&M staff. He very well might end up with Square at Miami. Both are students at Houston Yates right now.

    5) Dravannti Johnson- He had issues with the 4-2-5 and he grew up liking Texas. He does have issues with the tu fan base in general, but in the end that's where he wanted to be.

He's good, but not quite that good.

Kinda funny since he has a known distaste for tu fans.

...well he was the ags best recruit...must like ut fans ok to come here...or maybe he just wanted to play for a winner...:zorro:

Or it could be that he said he doesn't really fit into the 4-2-5.

Sorry Pop, just thought it was a big news story and was worthy of mention. I did not gloat or poke any fun at the ags in my post. I do NOT like to see kids decommit period, as I have stated many times on other threads.

Crying like a little baby again... good one. I just find it funny that many of your posts have to do with A&M. This one may have been reporting the truth, but the majority of your posts are just to put down A&M.
