From my understanding, teams used to pay their deposit and wait to see their pool. If it was not to their liking they would "no show". The committee put the rule in place that if a team "no shows" then they would be suspended for a year. I don't suppose it would have mattered either way but that's a coward thing to do. That SQT was loaded with good teams!

Didn't show? Isn't the rule if a team doesn't show they are suspended for a year?
