  1. They will reseed the remaining 4 teams once they are set. Harleton does not know who they're playing yet. Harleton could match up with any of the remaining 3 teams.
  2. Harleton scored 5 runs in the top of the 1st after excellent bunting, 2 hits and 4 Cayuga errors. Cayuga essentially looked like they've never threw a softball before. Cayuga went 1-2-3 in bottom of 1st. Harleton down 1-2-3 in the 2nd. Cayuga got runners on 1st & 2nd with no outs but runner got thrown out by catcher Haley Pyland by a back pick throw after batter missed a pitch trying to bunt. The runner at 2nd was the only runner Cayuga had at 2nd all game long and she was only there for about 3 pitches before being thrown out. Randi Carol Phillips hit a 3-run HR in the 3rd to make the lead 8-0. Cayuga down easily. Harleton scored one more in the 4th. Cayuga goes down quietly. Harleton scored 3 in the top of 5th to make score 12-0 after Cayuga SS makes an error and throws the ball late to first base. First baseman retrieved the errant throw and then airmailed it into left centerfield trying to retire the batter-runner. All 3 runners included the batter scored on this play. Harleton had runner called out for leaving early at first base. Cayuga had lead off hit in the bottom of the 5th but then was thrown out trying to steal 2nd. Cayuga had 1 more hit that inning but then went down quietly. Overall Harleton scored 12 runs on 9 hits and had 1 error. Cayuga had 0 runs with 4 hits and 6 errors. Cayuga never had a runner reach past 2nd base for the duration of the game. I will say this though. Cayuga's fans didn't quit. They were chanting "I believe that we will win!" while down 9-0 in the 4th inning. So....there's that.
  3. Harleton wins it 12-0. Was never even a ballgame from the first pitch.
  4. Harleton now up 12-0 in top of the 5th after Cayuga looks like a circus. I believe the softball just visited every part of the field all in one play. I didn't know where to look.
  5. Centenary has a turf infield. I imagine with the predicted rain, they just decided to go ahead and schedule there.
  6. Every school is different. Some schools administered their tests on Monday-Wednesday instead of Tuesday-Thursday.
  7. Wait a minute...after 4 straight trips to the playoffs and 3 district championships and then suddenly a down season, changes have to be made? This season needs to be put behind us. For starters, Lindale lost a GREAT senior class going into this year and the move up to 4A with the likes of Whitehouse, JT, etc. does not really increase the likelihood for success and on top of that...the team has been hit with injuries HARD. I'd be frustrated too if I was 1-8 and you're not used to having down years. It happens, it's part of the game. So the statement of "continuing to lose" doesn't make a whole lot of sense here. ONE down year does not really qualify for "continuing to lose".
  8. This has been the problem in Lindale, parents think the first step is to go immediately to the school board. Maybe try talking to the COACH first, you know...the one that is involved. Just a thought...
  9. 1. John Tyler 2. Whitehouse 3. Corsicana 4. Jacksonville 5. Nacogdoches 6. Lindale
  10. It's not an excuse. Lindale really has a TON of injuries and they don't have the depth that other 4A schools have. Lindale is only a 4A by about 9 kids, so your argument that they should have enough depth has other 4A teams is invalid and pointless.
  11. I just want to know...is it possible to type a sentence without Capitalizing Every Single Word?
