Here's the deal, Dangerfield was successful because they could out athlete everybody. Their kids (the "key"players) were huge (especially for 2A football) and they never had to out-coach anyone. With them losing so much from last year and with a new coaching staff, I think only the homers are the true believers. I wish ya'll luck though!

Never underate Suratt adn co. The boys will in at home (and not have to deal with the ridiculous "traditional" tribe music that starts at 4:30 and a tiny fieldhouse that cannot adequately house an entire football team) and keep the win streak at home alive for anoher week! No matter what he has to work with, Suratt always finds a way to be successful so never underate Suratt and co!

So are you calling Surratt a liar? If Chapel Hill was the best team that we have played, he would have admitted it, he is a honest and classy guy. I guess you haven't seen Carthage play because we have gotten a lot better. Not to say y'all haven't but there is no doubt in my mind with us being 100%healthy that the outcome would be different.

I completely agree with you Eagleborn! If you have a problem with a coach, 1st of all, you should call him or go speak to him not spread it all over SDC. 2nd of all, if you have a problem with a coach sticking to his word and diciplining a child, then something is wrong with you! Nowadays there aren't just an overabundance of people who stick to what they say they are going to do when it comes to their star players! 3rd of all, for this coach to punish this player, something must have happened. I highly doubt if any coach would bench his star player for the season if they did absolutely nothing wrong. So I think the coach is setting an example to his whole program.

Its one thing to be a sore loser, sore winners are worse. Obviously yall haven't done a whole lot in the past because you don't know how to take it when yall win.

You have gone on and on about Carthage.. You say we have no class but take a step back and look in the mirror bud! We know we lost yet you are arrogant enough to keep postig on our threads and rubbing it in our faces? Ok so yall beat us big deal even Babe Ruth struck out! We've got 2 state championships and we are getting back on track, and what do yall have? A few pre-district wins? In case you haven't noticed, pre-district wins mean nothing... Let's see where yall are when the district is over.

What are talkin about?? Scott Surratt would have sat every player if they would have "Kicked the bands hats" or "shoved/pushed their players" that's just ridiculous and absurd that you even claim that happened. You need to get your stories straight and stop falsly accusing kids because Carthage has more class than to push a band member. Now yes they did run through the band but in all fairness the band split and made a whole for the team to go through and they were running their mouths to the carthage players as well. Its not exactly like the Center band members are innocent not to say that the Carthage players are but you need to get your facts straight before you falsy accuse them.

Pittready I just wanted to say that I love your perfect grammer and perfect spelling. And it sounds like you are biast towards your own qb. Pantherpower was bragging on him but you said "lol lmao u r out of line" so evidently there is a little bit of flak between ya'll or you know something that everyone else doesn't because most teams support their qb whether they are right, wrong or indifferent. I've never seen the kid play but so I don't have a dog in the fight but I just saw your perfect english and I had to comment! Just my $.02

The thing you must remember is that both Carthage and Gilmer have excellent coaching staffs that know how to win. To say that both will win state again is highly unlikely and I doubt either will go undefeated (not saying it can't be done), but losing as many key players as both programs did, it's obviously going to be tough starting out. Overated? I don't think so. IMO, both teams will make the playoffs this year because like I said before, they have excellent coaching staffs. Just my $.02..

Essentially "not qualifying" for your college on the ACT is the same as being unsuccesful to make the grade for your college when you take the ACT. Dictionary.com defines fail as - to be unsuccesful; so in other words, failing the ACT is the same as being unsuccesful or not qualifying because you don't get the grade you need to pass to be allowed to get into college. And not trying to knit-pick, but everybody makes mistakes. Spell checker didn't catch "patients" because it is not a misspelled word so if the kid is typing away trying to write the story, he probably just let it slip and typed 2 letters wrong by mistake. Its not like he intended on saying "patients" instead of "patience".
