Fastpitch Softball Hitting Tune-Up to be held by Roo Richardson- 2 Time All American 2 Time Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Easton All-American, Univ Texas at Tyler- All time HR leader, All time On Base Leader and member of the Sneaky Cleats Coaching Staff. <<<Softball Camp Change>>> In anticipation of cold weather. the UT Tyler All Skills High School Softball camp scheduled for today-Saturday, January 9, has been moved to an indoor facility in Longview at 2547 Judson Rd. The camp will still begin at 1 p.m-5pm. Campers can also meet at UT Tyler at 11 a.m. for a campus tour before traveling to Longview. For questions, please contact Coach Crabtree at 214-404-8774. Rose Country Girl's Softball is now accepting registration for Spring 2009 season. There is a lot of exciting things taking place this year with RCGSA and our new home at Faulkner Park. Our league is ASA sanctioned which is the governing body for USA softball. We are the only ASA league in our region, so the league is open to everyone. Divisions: BlastBall- Boys and Girls ages 3-5 T-Ball- Girls only ages 5-6 Coach Pitch- Girls ages 7-8 Kid Pitch- Girls ages 9-18 Facts about ASA and RCGSA All teams have the opportunity to advance to Regionals (Tyler) and then on to ASA State Championship (Longview-Lear Park on June 12-14th for ages 10u, 12u & 14u class "C" teams). No travel neccessary for league games. All games will be played at Faulkner Park. Cost $65 per player- discount available for additional siblings RCGSA recently received a grant from Major League Baseball of $100,000 and $15,000 from kellogg's/Brookshires for field construction. This will allow us to complete our 3rd field. UT Lady Patriot's Softball team will hold a player's clinic on April 4th and Coach Reed will conduct Coach's Clinic at Faulkner Park. $15 for registered RCGSA members and $25 for all others. Free RCGSA registered players- Pitching and Catching clinic will be held at Faulkner Park- dates and times to be announced. (ages 10-18) RCGSA will host Major League Baseball's Pitch, Hit and Run-April 18th (ages 6-14) Winners will go to Regionals and then have the opportunity to go to MLB All-Star Game.
