Sorry not going to happen this year. Why do you Lindale fans rank Lufkin so low this year? It's not like we have been playing pansy teams in pre distrct. What big time 5A or 6A teams have you played?, and bold talk to say you come to Abe and win? If you were Longview, I would say maybe, however Lindale could not come close to beating Longview, Tyler Lee or West Monroe. Chapel Hill or Van? Lufkin would have ground them a new one.

Lobos start district 2-0 with easy wins , back ups getting plenty of playing time against Pine Tree and Greenville. The Lobos would have to roll over and play dead for either of these team to be within 30 of them. Sulphur Springs and Mt. Pleasant will be just as bad. Lobos have one game to really get by, that is Marshall. Texas High and Hallsville no competition either. Longview by at least 30 this week.

Ohhhh, then JT, but it still could be a tight game if the JT D does not play better.

Nac puts everything on the line to beat us, at all cost. the game means more to them than it does to us, because they had not beat us since 1992 and we got caught the last two years. I think they woke us up again.

My picks: Lufkin, closer than some think, we win by at least 20. My head says JT, but this is in Whitehouse and this could go either way. Ennis, nothing else to say. Corsicana, the slightest edge, only because they are at HOME,, but their preseason competition is 1-9 and Corsicana didn't win by much against them, but it would not surprise me that Lindale wins this game.

It certainly may be different this year, but that win we had last year was at your place and not ours, it was our first meeting with you too, so I don't see the comparison. Most teams just don't walk into Abe and win that often. Good teams have won there on occasion but they fight for every point and yard to pull it out. Playing Chapel Hill, Carthage and Van does not prepare you to play at the Abe. Corsicana has played and narrowly defeated Justin NW, The Colony and Grandbury who have a combined record of 1-9 as of this week. How that all translates to playing 16-5A, who knows. Normally if you don't play the tougher competition in preseason, even if you have a loss or two, that usually translates to your play in district, how can you know really what you have if you only play schools your size. The highest ranked team you have played is current #17 4A ranked Carthage. We will see pretty quick starting Friday night, I think Lindale is Lufkin's Homecoming game. :)

Lufkin won the Consolation Bracket at the State 7 on 7 Tournament.this year. Now, If that really meant any thing then ......well, it really doesn't mean anything in real football. Lindale has improved from last year, playing better defense against Chapel Hill (4A),Carthage (4A) and Van (4A), so we will see how it goes against real 5A teams. Lufkin has played everything on the road the first three weeks against State Ranked Longview 5A), Tyler Lee (6A) and West Monroe (#2 in 5A Louisiana and Nationally ranked), lost both of our games by a total of 9 points. Lufkin, Ennis and JT play tough pre season schedules against 5A and 6A teams to get ready for district. Just saying......

Last time Lufkin went to Louisiana they were playing pretty good football, they came back and did could not finish a single important game the rest of the year. Lufkin wins this game, no score prediction.

Nac has not played the same type competition either. Hard to compare Longview, Tyler Lee and West Monroe to Kilgore, Hallsville and Carthage.

Lufkin Lufkin made too many mistakes but they were still just a play or two of making WM #### in their pants. For a young team Lufkin held their own. Don't want to go back though, two years is enough. They let the LA schools move around, set and reset all the time, substitute when ever they wanted after Lufkin came to the line on offense, water breaks in 70 degree weather, kicker brings out his own personal inflated ball to kick ?????. LA will not come to Texas to play hardly at all because they know the NCAA rules hinder them from winning. And the holding or better yet take downs that are no calls there, just wow. Just several differences, but Lufkin made WM sweat and John Curtis do the same last year. No apologies from me on Lufkin belonging there.

How Much TIME left?

They can not post because it a Fox Sports game and MSGPR in Lufkin were not allowed the rights by Fox. That is why it is not on the Lufkin site.

If you change QB, who would your new choice be? I think this game is a toss up, slightly in Lee's favor because their offense is better than JTs right now.

Our game had 25 second clock issues last night during the game but they got all that back working in 2nd half of game. Not really any heavy security issuesto speak of either. Other than an OT affair, everything was like a normal game. Very hot though just like what you have today. Good luck.

JT fans have alway left early on their team when they are getting beat, been doing it for 30 - 40 years...

Those polls are bogus. You know and I know it. :) :) IMO the Friday Night Football Magazine has things more in perspective with Longview @ #14 and Lufkin @ #29 considering we lost so much last year and so young this year. What were they thinking? The AP and DC know nothing.If anything they disrespect the Lobos with 45 seniors coming back this year.

There is no one anywhere outside of Lufkin predicting a Panther win at Lobo. Let's be real about this now. Lobos should be and are favored by every football expert in the State.

Yes, also accompanied by the head bobbing Lobo band. Espy award for bravery should have gone out 10 years ago to the guy who was in the Lobo drill team. He was the best high kicker you had in the group for two years.

Still remember the 55 they put on us there the last time, it is not a fun place to play. Just saying, I do not have that warm fuzzy feeling about going up there Friday. Cause we don't have nothin.....:) :) :)

You JT guys need to quit picking against Longview like that, these big hopes and dreams of a lopsided scores, if JT were to win it would not be 41-25 anymore than Lufkin winning at Lobo that way. Frankly, this is the deepest most talented Lobo squad in a few years. Hard to pick against them. Playing them at Rose won't make much difference. Got to get this Lufkin game out of the way first, then you JT and Lobo folks can throw arrows at each other then. Big test for the Panthers this week, hoping to leave with our heads intact and survive the walk of shame to the parking lot. :)

Not worried about a gutter at this point of my life.
