First post ------ go easy!
In defense of the teams from the Southern area of the district: (PT softball dad I may need your help here)
Hallsville- Two very capable pitchers (freshman & sophmore) - more speed than you would think - good catcher - winning tradition
Pine Tree - Good hitting 1 through about 6 - solid enough defense - pitcher gets better everytime she gets in the circle and works very hard.
Marshall - Don't know alot about Marshall, other than they will have two impact sophmores.
Longview - I will try not to see through rose colored glasses!
Only lost one starter -- Beat #7 ranked 5a Mesquite last year, also shutout N. Mesquite and got shutout ---- Played a very good Huntington team 5-3 if memory serves me. ---- Beat Mt. Pleasant in Hallsville tourney ---- Beat Pine Tree in summer ball twice by one run --- lost to Hallsville in summer by 3 I think.
As Baller said "Longview may be lucky to win a district game", but they could also surprise the district.
Agreed ---- Sulpher Springs is the class of the district.
