    3A Soccer

Also, Lindale is now 3A. THey were and havve been virtually 3A for the past 4 years, flirting with the enrollment cut off. But as they have been, I think they will be a very good competitor and representative of 3A soccer. But also will hurt the 3A sepereate conference arguement they aren't the only school that will though. I'm sure there are several schools that dominate their districts as 3A. But we'll see how they fare this year after graduating like 5 starters, and next year after graduating 13 seniors.
  2. Interesting, though, in 2010, I would put Lindale as either 1 or 2. Even though they lost to Mt. Pleasant inthe 3rd round that year. They beat them twice in previous meetings that year and they beat Kilgore aswell in that same year. Lindale was a great one loss team. Give them one bounce in that MP game and I put them in the State Playoffs. But thats just me. I see 2010 as 1/2. Lindale/Mt. Pleasant 3. Kilgore and the rest as is.
  3. It was a close physical game all the way to the end. And there will be rematch Friday i believe, in Mt. Pleasant.
  4. Lots of strong teams coming into this one, who do you think will take it all?

    2010 Season!

He's definitely more ambitious than the former Girls coach, he is more prompt and works the girls harder, but he fell into one of those seasons that has to recover from a very very strong graduating class, so we might not see the results we want right off, but i think in the long run he will be better for the girls team.

    2010 Season!

Lindale is only losing about half the number of seniors as the other 4 teams in the Region 2 Tourney, so i expect to see them do well next year.
  7. I'll agree with everything but one thing. "The Shipman" comment, yes one shipman did have 29 goals were as the other had only 18(which is still more than anyone else in the district excluding Lindale). But they are both equally talented, and the one with the less goals played STOPPER and had an astounding number of goals from a DEFENSIVE position.
  8. Are you sure that's a soccer letter?
  9. If one Shipman makes it, the other should. One is not better than the other, just one(#29) gets more recognition because the other(#9) played stopper all year, were as the other(#29) played forward scoring 29 goals which is amazing, and the one that played stopper(#9), STILL had 18 goals. As for All-State ET girls. Maddie Frasier(#23) of Lindale.
  10. In my opinion Joel Ramirez from Lindale should have gotten newcomer of the year. This freshman came off the bench and scored 14 goals. He was Lindale's 4th leading scorer; as a freshman that didn't even start until deep in the play-offs. Now all this is not to take away from the skill of the other two players, they were both great, but i still feel as if Ramirez was more deserving.
  11. Just from what i've seen, The Shipman twins and Norris of Lindale, and probably Kulak and Humphrey of PT. There may be more that are deserving, and maybe these aren't even deserving, but based on the results that these two teams recieved, these 5 players have been the most productive for East-Texas this year, and by all means this is just my opinion.
  12. I could be wrong, but i thought that a team had to actually partake in the state tournament to be eligible for All-State, and no ET team made it to State, at least in 4A. However I think they are a few players that could have received this honor had they made it to State.
  13. Just because players didn't see it, and coaches in the STANDS and on the SIDELINE didn't see it, does not mean the hand ball was not recognizable enough to make a definite and confident call. The players are caught up in the moment of the game, and are more than likely not gonna see something like this. The referee, however, is looking for this. He is CHOSEN ,not by the coaches, to ref the Regional Semi-final game. An incompetent referee is not going to be chosen for such a big game. He knows what rides on his whistle, he is not going to make that BIG of a call unless he feels as though the infraction is taking away a legitimate scoring opportunity, and i think we all agree, in any situation, a base-line drop from the edge of the 6 yard box to the 6 IS a legitimate scoring opportunity.
  14. Where's the advantage? Had the the ball not accidentally, and i emphasize accidentally, (I don't think the player did it on purpose) The pass would have successfully made it to the feet of an awaiting Lindale player, giving him a genuine chance of scoring. But the ball made contact with the player's hand allowing the goalie to get to the ball before a Lindale player.
