  1. Got the scoop from a coaching buddy involved in the rerun disaster. The UIL says that there is nothing anyone can do because the meet is over and what ever decision the games committee makes is final and no one, not even the governing body of the UIL, can do anything about those 2 kids who got screwed. There is no such thing as rules if thats what the games committee decides....That group of people can omit any rules that want. That's just great....I want to be on that committee to provide a voice of reason!!!! The point was brought up about there being rules violations and the UIL doesn't care that rules are broken even though they have the power to correct this mistake. The cowardly response of the UIL is that human errors occur and that's just the way it is....so for all of you coaches line up and accept that fact that a games committee can make any rule disappear REGARDLESS of what the rule book says. I will post the rules Tuesday so everyone can see them for themselves. By the way, the one of the boys now going to state slipped in the first race and ran his fastest (FAT)time all year....BS. I wish one of the other coaches lived in Palestine so they could get what they wanted!!! Anyway, the UIL said nothing can be done for those 2 kids that won....THE FIRST TIME. The meet director and games committee should step up and call the UIL and just admit a mistake was made and get those kids in the state meet. Everyone that was there and saw that should call or email the Palestine Supt and tell him to call the UIL and tell them that these two kids should get their opportunity to run at State. Also the Hubbard boy ran 10.93 FAT in the downpour, but according to the games committee and the UIL, he had his opportunity to qualify and didn't make it.....no wait, that was Cayuga that didn't make the most of his one shot.....no wait, hometown influence took care of that....it was a Hubbard kid that didn't make the most of his second chance.....what the heck, lets meet up Thursday and run it again. If you don't believe me call one of the coaches who got screwed. I know both of them and they'll probably be glad to tell you what the UIL said....throw your rule books away 'cause they are useless.
  2. Have they hired a new DC? Who was the DC?
  3. Can anyone from Cayuga verify that the 'fan' said anything to the coach? Apparently Hubbard can show where nothing happened.
  4. Jenkins is the one who started this whole conflict. Cayuga would win 100 times in a row, no doubt. Sometimes you get to ride a better horse.
