  1. I just want to comment on the article in the Palestine Herald Press which Quoted Coach Adair as saying the Defense"did not do their job". I must have been at a dif game. Let's count up how many minutes the Def. was on the field and alot of these boys play bothe ways. Come on WHERE IS THE ONE HEART BEAT IN POINTING FINGERS? You never here about the def when we win just how good the running back and offense did. You can't expect the players to stay on the band wagon with that attitude. YOU WIN AS TEAM AND LOSE AS A TEAM! Was it a bad game? YES. But no one side was to blame. Offense could not get going, Def was worn out, and lets not forget the shower of yellow. Not our night and leave it at that. For the DEFENSE- keep your head up and doing your best! Some of us do see what you do out there!
  2. I am amazed that this debate has gone on this long. How about back to baseball. Does anybody have the scores from last night and current standings. Elkhart 12 Sabine 0
  3. It's real easy to point the finger about other teams flaws and not see your own teams flaws like when the WR pitcher came running out of the dugout jumping and yell cause he did not like the call then doing it again on the mound. Also that same player had a very good hit made around to third and instead of being so called "classy" he stands up bows his arms like some WWE wreslter, stares into our dugout and scream "WHAT'S UP, WHAT's UP". Guess yall missed that or when one of the Elkhart players was on third and the third baseman was trying to push him off of third. Missed that too huh. Next time you want to point out other players flaws ask yourself when your pointing how many fingers are pointing back at you. Further more fans and coaches don't hear half the mouthing that is done on any field of play and is usually both ways. Boys are mouths and they like to try to get in to the other teams heads. Last night I saw two teams playing a very important game and emotions were very high. As far as the MAFIA and some of the parents I don't care what you do some people are going to mouth and unless the umpire ejects them from the field noone including the AD is going to stop them. Now to adress the closing pitcher I find it very hard to believe he ran to the dugout and said that when I have pictures of him pitching the ball to first base, going back towards the mound and being mauled by his teammates but I guess what ever makes you feel better and sleep at night. GO ELKS!!!!!! As far as the comments about Coach Adair these love him and yes he is loud but he loves these boys and they know it so stay where your at if you don't like it. These two teams sre good teams and if they continue this type of playing they will both be in the play offs.
  4. You know what the BOYS can't do nothing about what the stands say or do. This is about the BOYS and how they play the game of baseball and I think they are playing some pretty good baseball. Keep it up Elks.
  5. Well isn't that a sweet comment. Not sure how to take that but ANYWAY!!! I AM ELKHART BASEBALL PROUD! Proud of those boys and the coaching staff they are working very hard this year and staying on a mission.
  6. Anybody know the current standings?
  7. Yes Crockett is good, fast and mean and have twice as many players(expected with a BIG 3A team dropping to 2A) but these Elkhart boys will give everything they have the whole game. These boys boys and coaches deserve all the respect in the world for what they have already accomplished this year. This district is very strong and talented and they have held there own.
  8. If the Elks play like they did last night it will be a good game. Elks improve every week. EVERY player contributes to the game. ONE HEARTBEAT!!!
  9. Did Frankston and Arp Play Friday? If so what was the score?
  10. Elkhart has been hit hard with the flu and resp issues. Several Coaches and Varsity players will be missing this Friday against Buffalo.
  11. Prayers from Elkhart. We feel your pain and are praying for you.
