What is going on with Trey Metoyer, has he played the last couple of games?

Is this a new staduim or was the old one redone? The surrounding area looks diferent.

How about this ... Let WH and Lee play each other. How would that turn out?? Might be real interesting now but back in the day it would have been a wipeout. WH actually scrimmaged REL one season and it was pretty lopsided and Owens even said on the news that it was a total waste of time and he would never do it again or something like that. Might be pretty fun to watch now ...

At least there have been opposing views on this the last several years. If someone would have started a thread like this 10-12 years ago they would have been laughed smooth off of Smoaky.com ... lol. It sure has made it a lot more fun the last few years.

Now there is some real incentive to sign up ... lol. Who wouldn't jump at the chance to send thier gifted and talented college bound kids to hang out everyday with at-risk students? I guess I could see the benefits to the at-risk group, maybe picking up some of the habits and attitudes of the college bound kids but don't see the logic for the other way around.

I don't get it, why the need for a 3rd HS, are the other two campuses busting at the seams and we need a place to send the overflow? Why get rid of a Jr High to build a new campus in an older neighborhood? Now you displace Jr High students. I will admit I don't follow and understand all the politics in a deal like this but this seems a little stange. In the last 15 years or so there have been so many nice new beautiful state of the art HS's built in so many towns throughout the region and I just wonder why it is so hard to do the same here in Tyler. I'm not talking about a half step attempt but a full blown replacement in a nice area for one of the HS's here in Tyler and then eventually the same for the other campus. If not this option what about a 3rd HS designated as a Sr. High and then have the other two existing campuses for 9th/10th. Maybe Tyler would have been better off to of had just one HS campus all these years like Longview, Lufkin etc. so that it would be a little easier to sell the idea of a new school. Who is this new campus really targeted to?

Does any of this REALLY matter? ... geez!! Johnny Manziel has got to shaking his head in amazement that soooo many people are soooo opinionated on every move he (or his support team) makes. There has got to be other issues going on in the world that carry more weight than if a guy is taking online courses instead of classroom courses or if he wants to trademark a nickname. I'm sure most of us have enough drama and stuff going on in our lives to keep us busy without fretting over a college kid doing his thing. We all know you can't go around pleasing everybody in the world so no need to try. Do your on thing the best you can the best way you know how. I say ... Go Johnny Go!!

Yeah I hear ya, I was just hoping it wasn't about the money but him wanting to improve athletics overall but also keep the salary the same as before to draw some top notch coaches. Oh well!!
