  1. Why do you think that it does not affect Cradall's playoff hopes if they loose? Crandall has one win in district WP has one.
  2. are they going to get Tony a job there also?
  3. I am glad you posted this... I wanted to say something but I thought that would be piling on. I think that the the person in charge in Winona is the substitute teacher and A-A-Ron and D'nice will be the "co-ordinators"
  4. They posted the job on the 22 of April. Last school board meeting was on the 21 of April. Oh I like how in the job posting, along with a brilliant mind, it talks about loyalty. Really!!! All I have to say to that is if you go to Winona you better cya.
  5. They hired the position before they posted it?
  6. Thats what you get when you put the girls basketball coach in charge of looking for football coaches. Is he planning on being the football coach now?
  7. And most of those have only been there a year two at most. Coach Evans was given very little support by the current administration and still managed to have success at a school that has been less than average on the athletic front for more than a decade. Another interesting point about this situation is that Coach Evans has been at Winona for a while, not sure exactly how long but somewhere around 8-10 years. To me this shows his commitment to the school and community. I promise you that the current administration and ad will not be around a third of that time. This is just another example of a school board cutting off its nose to spite its face.
  8. Even more how can a person with a clouded history like this superintendent lead a charge to rid a community like Winona of leaders like Coach Evans. He has instilled discipline and character in to a program that was lacking in that area. Under his leadership Winona has had more success throughout the program that it has had in the last few years and with less talent. I applaud Coach Evans for what he has done for the school and community of Winona.
  9. New Sup. has an agenda. She got rid of all stability, she got rid of principals to the director of transportantion. Coach Evan was the last person left for her to push out. Oh... why did coach Kincade get seen down to the JH in Rusk? Things are not right in Winona, and if you really want to learn some interesting tid bits, do a little research on the the superintendent. Why did she end up working out of a closet at her last school?
  10. I don't disagree with you. Carthage is a great team. I am from east Texas and know very well what they have accomplished. But, quit making excuses, it was a good game between two good teams. El Campo did what they need to do to win. They were the better team on that night. They over came several turnovers and the pressure of the situation to score two touchdowns in the final quarter to defeat Carthage. Who we both agree is a great team. Carthage however folded to the pressure, made some mistakes that cost them the game. That is competitive athletics.
  11. You can't play what if's. What if El Campo did not turn the ball over when they were driving to score to start the second half. What if the ball did not fall in the running backs lap on fourth down. That is all apart of the game. Both sides can play what if. Here is and even bigger what if for you WHAT IF THE CARTHAGE'S COACHES HAD NOT USE UP THEIR TIMEOUTS in the third quarter?
  12. good post.... I believe your point about being pretty evenly split is the reason some Carthage fans are catching so much heat... They didn't give El Campo that much respect.
  13. seams it was enough. so what you are saying is that Carthage got beat by one man? Wow, what does that say about them? I think it was more than stopping a qb.
  14. Campo did not lose to a 4A school a the beginning or the end of the year.
  15. Here's the problem...............I is hard to gain a lot of yards when you start on you opponents 30 yard line. Except when Silsbee intercepted the ball on the one then turned it back over they were playing on a short field. Stats are great but some times there sued. IF.....Carthage turns the ball over 4 time vs El Campo you will be sing the blues come Saturday morning. Just ask ARP.
