  1. The fumbled KO return in the 1st half created the point differential the boys were trying to make for all night. The onsides kick attempts were just attempts to make that differential. I think that the most critical play was the missed pass intereference call by the side judge in the 2nd half. The Argyle DB was holding and pulling our #4 as they ran down the sideline. The officials missed that call because they said the ball was uncatchable...fun how it was uncatchable and I saw #4 actually get his hands on the ball. If that pass had been completed, we could have scored and killed a lot of clock. But it is a done deal as of approximately 10:30 last night. When you have worn the LE logo on your helmet, like many of us on here have, it is easy to get emotional and post to this forum because we all want to see our team win. While, I don't agree with everything I see on the field, but I also understand this...hindsight is 20/20 and so my opinion. :) Congrats to Argyle...hopefully we will meet again in 2015. GO LEOPARDS!!
  2. Can anyone tell me the score of the Powderly North Lamuur game?
  3. That Evangel team had kids from Texas playing on it. So you had a recruited team playing a public school....not a level field from my perspective.
  4. I sat on the Atlanta side last night. :) Support your district...that's how I was raised. :) LE Class of 83
  5. Liberty - Eylau 28 Paul Pewitt 21 LE won with less than a minute to play.
  6. We were lucky it was only one game. It rained a lot last year.
  7. Good 1st Half...Horrible 2nd Half Turnovers, poor tackling and poor execution were primary reasons for loss. Maybe a week off will help.
  8. That was an ugly scrimmage...in fact it was pitiful to watch. The talent level and depth was too far apart.
  9. I agree the kid juggled the ball...but it did not hit the ground. The official apparently felt the kid had ENOUGH control to call it a TD. No replay in UIL...
  10. I've never seen Euless Trinity in person, but I like they way they play football. It's old school...like me. :cripple: Great last 6 minutes of the game I saw...congrats to the Euless Trinity Trojans. GO LEOPARDS!!
  11. The writer is obviously saw the game film, read the Graham coach's mind and imprinted his subconcious disrespect for the Pirates in the article as he wrote it. GO LEOPARDS!!
  12. God Bless from Texarkana. GO LEOPARDS!!
  13. Gilmer is the team of the decade for 3A. :notworthy: They have been in 3A for the entire decade. Deal with the facts as presented people...not your opinions. I'm a homer, but I'm not oblivious to the facts. Celina has been in 2A so they don't meet the criteria...Tatum has been in 2A so they don't meet the criteria. Cuero might be in the same area numberswise, but the lack of championships hurt them, but I'll do some research. Good job Gilmer...I thought you guys might have problems with Wylie's offense keeping the ball away from you offense...I was wrong. East Texas has another champion....if we got some love from the Metroplex papers and the other urban area media maybe the rest of the state could appreciate the type of football we play over in this part of the state. GO LEOPARDS!!
  14. It was so cold I lost sensation in my fingers. It was freezing. I still can't feel my toes. Good game though. PG and Pitt played hard and laid some wood on each other. Wish our rivals from across town had won and brought another championship to Texarkana. Maybe you will be able to get it in the future. Good job Hawks!! Congrats to Pitt on the win last night. I hope that you are able to represent the district and region well in your game against I believe Graham. Go Leopards!!
