Both teams have improved since last year so it should be a good game. Here is a little inside info the Bears football team as something inside them as a parent and former football player I can see. Call it a chip,cocky,swager, or just plain heart they have a bad tast in their mouth right now and the only way to get that out is a win. Maybe call it team fire something that has been missing for years at GW. SH is a good team and has earned GW respect I just dont think SH can stop GW offense yes I said offence not #22. SH needs 35 or more on the board to keep up. Good luck to both teams and GO BEARS.

Yes I am very proud of our GW boys in a hard fought game. Canton,Brownsboro,Gilmer are very good teams this year and the one point loses to each team shows a big heart. As for the unsportsman like penalty you should have a few in a game like this due to emottions are so high. Hats off to Gilmer and their coach taking the point off the board and going for the win. The play of the game was GW at the 1 yard line 4th down and Gilmer held thier ground then went 99 yards for a TD. As for this district WOW there is going to be some great football the next 4 weeks. Good job Bears and good luck to Gilmer.

Here is the deal Gladewater to date still hasnt played 2 full halfs. The defense for the most part limps in at half time but comes out playing like the should. Call it coaching adjustments or a old fashion chew'en. The offense is the same way the coach is making the right adjustments or if Gladewater would play 2 full halfs we would be talking about a closer game. We are a good team and Gilmer has our respect due to they have earned everthing and Gladewater is in the process of doing what Gilmer has is RESPECT. With the new coach from Longview everyone who watches this game will say Gladewater is headed in the right direction. No dout the Buckeyes are very good and Champs but Gladewater has nothen to lose and can let it hang out. Gilmer should win this game at home but it wont come with out good hard fought game.

Lets just say GW has lost 2 games by 1 point each and hasn't been below 35 points and avg per game in the mid 40's. So I dont think 24 points deferance isn't going to happen. GW is going to score 40+ so Arp better be in shape because your coming to a track meet.

I will say Brownsbro kicker needs some love as well didnt miss and 44 seconds for what was the winning point lot to think about before the kick and it was down the middle. Great game and good luck to the Brownboro Bears.

Yes what a game!!! Both teams have big hearts in this game its a shame someone has to lose. Just have to #### it up and get ready for Arp.

GW by 4 this is going to be a tight game

Thats why you play 4 quarters and GW coach ran around the blitz which was every play by Rusk.

The last 2 game GW coach as adjusted for the second half like no other coach. Weather its been a but chewen or adjustments GW has come alive in the second half. For Rusk game they blitz up the middle every other play and GW offense went to the outside with their speed. WP game GW defense put the stop on a very good QB and the GW offense spread the field to open lanes to open up running game. All in all the coach has used his talent very well and it dont hurt to have RB and WR that can score from any where. And hats off to the young GW QB he is a stud in the making he has great vision just havent been turned loose yet because running is working.

I am going to stay with my perdiction with a 3 way tie with 1 lose Gilmer,Henderson,Carthage. That leaves no room for the rest. This district will score a ton of points from all teams its who has the defense, less turn overs and injurys. This district is set up for who can win on the road. As for Pitt ,Spring Hill, and my heart ( Gladewater) its going to take a heck of effort to play those 3 and come out 2-1. But its high school anything can happen on a Friday Night thats what makes it great as a parent.

You might want to keep a eye on Gladewater a lose to Canton (42-41) on the road and a win (35-21) against Wills point a very good team. No push over schedule there and new head coach is moving the ball like he did in longview. I am not going to jump out there and say Gladewater district champs there going to make some noise. My take of the district is there will not be a team that runs the table you could have a 3 way tie for first so you better score to win the tie breaker.

Good Game Bears come back from 14 points at half time and give up none in second half

Gladewater played well on the road and have a good offence. Most high school game are decided by turn overs if Gladewater holds on to the ball it will be a shoot out. Gladewater wins this game with the home field advantage by 2.

Gladewater won 3-0 against Troup. RB Corey Davis sat the bench for this one and Gladewater's D gave up very little yardage (less than 125 yards and 40 yards on one pass play). Gladewater QB was on the spot with bomb for a long score and 90% completion average. You can see Gladewaters 4 running backs are going to keep eveyone honest because they will be fresh and fast and O line was making holes.
