  1. Hey ya'll post a few updates on this one please!
  2. Sabine made the playoffs/post-season in EVERY sport last year (boys and girls both) and they are on pace to do the same this school year. The Football team has made the playoffs for 3 consecutive seasons after a 29 year drought. I know the athletes, and administrators are pleased with the 'direction the program is going'. Don't try to fix something that's not broken. Coach Sharp know his stuff, he is a man of integrity, and the kids love him. Excellent, decision by Sabine.
  3. Sabine JV Boys Basketball needs a game on Tuesday, November 15th and Friday, November 18th. Please contact Coach Keith Taylor [email protected] or Coach Heffner [email protected]
  4. Congratulations to Sabine. They have some great kids and staff and they showed a lot of character to get this win on the road.
  5. Let's go Cards! Play defense and hang on to the ball.
  6. Wow..cockiness. Sabine dealing with a few injuries in the Frankston game. Otherwise they would likely have won that game. Led most of the way. Frankston was not very impressive. West Rusk should certainly be favored going in this Friday because of their speed, etc. But I don't see a need for the boasting pre-game. Win or lose - against Sabine..act like you been here before.
  7. Pewitt fans in the bleachers were very knowledgable about football. You could tell by how they reacted during the game. Good luck Brahmas, and great game by Sabine also!
  8. Yea I'd love some cheese. And some of the finest wine to go with it. I know your TISD budget can easily afford it.
  9. Arp defeats Frankston 46-43. With the win, Arp earns the 3rd place playoff spot & will face Waskom in the first round. Bear in mind that Arp was 0-2 against Sabine during the regular season & never EVEN HAD TO PLAY Sabine in this tie-breaker to get in, much less defeat them. Sabine misses the playoffs for the 2nd straight year (after 6 playoff runs in a row). It was a very screwy tie-breaker formula & I think most would have to agree, a flawed formula. Frankston is 4th place & gets the honor of playing 4A Tatum. Have fun!
  10. Varsity Boys Basketball 3 teams are vying for 3rd and 4th playoff spot. Strangely, the Head-to-head regular season district records of these teams were thrown out. (Sabine 3-1, Frankston 2-2, Arp 1-3) A random draw was held today to see which team got the bye. Arp (1-3) won the bye. Sabine swept Arp in the regular season, but did not get a bye in this tie-breaker tournament. Sabine vs. Frankston 7:30pm Thursday night 2/13 @ Troup HS
  11. Yea, it's hard to say how they'll do against Waskom, not knowing much about the Wildcats. But they usually have some good athletes & if they don't they can always look for some in greater Shreveport! Lol But seriously, I'd give Waskom an edge assuming they might have more speed. But it's actually hard to beat a team that (1)controls possession and (2) limits turnovers, and (3) has a decent defense. Sabine has done all 3 so far this season.
  12. I agree, Sabine has a good chance to start 2-0 as they will play a perennially weak Rains team at home. Not sure what the Wildcats from Emory have suited up this year, but after watching all of Sabine's games last season, I thought that Rains was one of the teams that the Cards really should have beaten (along with Overton). Hope the Cardinals can come out and get it done. They have worked really hard. Rains was 0-10 in 2009 and when they beat Sabine in 2010 you'd have thought they had won state. Sabine has played them several years in a row. This may be turning into a football rivalry!
  13. Amazing job by the Cardinals' players and Coaching staff. They got in the post-season with a lot of hardwork and dedication. Much better season than probably anyone imagined back in January.
  14. Sabine played Woodville last night, not Elkhart. Anyone have the score?
