  1. The Brownsboro Bears need a JV game asap for TOMORROW, OCT. 27th. Had the Malakoff Tiger JV scheduled for this game, but have had many of their athletes get sick and had to combine with their Varsity. If you can help us in Brownsboro in this area, please contact Coach Ty Thomison immediately on his cell @ (903) 360-4969 OR in his office @ (903) 852-2321. Thanks!
  2. LOL! You're off your rocker over in A-town. Close game this week for Henderson county rivals.
  3. Got this filled! Thanks for those who replied to help out!
  4. Still don't have this filled yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  5. call Malakoff Jamie Driskell

Looks like Elkhart JV just cancelled season they had Elkhart that week

  6. The Brownsboro Bears need a freshman game for the 27th of October. Please PM me so I can get you in touch with Coach Ty Thomison asap if you can help us out. Thanks!
  7. Takes about an hour and fifteen from Tatum to the stadium. You should be just in time to watch the first second tick off the clock should you grab a burger to go on the way. Hope all you Tatum fans drive safely. Looking forward to a good game with you guys. I think our boys have weathered the storm, so to speak, pretty well thus far with playing Gilmer and D'field. I think that we are simply learning the speed and intensity of the varsity game with our young ones, and the coaches appear to be figuring out who is best in what spot now with the first two games. With young ones it takes a little longer sometimes. Good luck to both teams Friday!
  8. Atlanta has a tough pre-district as well (Gilmer, Daingerfield, Tatum, Pittsburg, & Linden-Kildare). I know they are 0-2 so far, but they have played two defending state champs (2 time defenders in D'Field) and have made it through injury free and healthy. I know they were beaten on the score board pretty handily, but they have a lot of young players starting who are trying to get adjusted to the speed, atmosphere, and expectations that come with playing on Friday night. The offense sputtered last week, but I look for them to get their legs back under them this week against Tatum. Coaches appear to have figured out defense for the most part against D'field last week, but tackling and wrapping up still is an issue to work on in my opinion. I know D'field put up 40, but it was 18-0 about 1/3 of the way through the 4th quarter. The Rabbs just got tired on the defensive side at the end. When you only have 4 first downs that will happen. I think the Rabbits will be realistic contenders with LE at the top of this district. The talent is there for sure, and I think after Tatum that these kids could go on a 7-0 tear and win district. At worst I look for them winning no less than 5 or 6 of their remaining 8 games and make the playoffs to face the 16-3A power district. Atlanta will have played 2 of the 4 teams that are battling it out in that district by then, and they may have learned from previous games with them should they draw the same team again in the playoffs. I know it's early, but I encourage all Rabbit fans to stay behind your team this year. They are talented and well coached, regardless of what some are saying in other threads, and we all remember what happened in 2003 after going 1-4 through a pre-district like this year's. Good luck to all members of 15-3A in pre-district, and hope district to be a clean, fun, and exciting year. 15-3A Prediction: 1. LE 2. Atlanta 3. Paris 4. MV 5. PG 6. NL
  9. you would pick that part of my comment to question on here. i was only asking about why track was being honored because i wasn't aware of the girl that medaled at state. track really isn't near any focus of PG at all and nobody has even mentioned this girl's accomplishment from the PG camp! i was simply asking about the size of the program to emphasize that. you crazy GP buzzards, i mean PG hawks, will cry wolf about any and everything on here won't you. take offense to all and get em in a wad just like always.
  10. aha, no one had reported anything about that so I'll stand corrected.
  11. why the heck is track being honored? what did they do? weren't there only about 10 guys on the track team?
  12. Atlanta has new uniforms this year as well. They are exactly like what the Alabama Crimson Tide wear on the field, but replace the crimson red with Atlanta maroon. I also believe that they will be sporting a new helmet logo as well. Still staying with white helmets and maroon face masks, but the new logo will actually be a revert to an older logo in Atlanta. I will attach pics for you if possible. Can't wait to see the new look on the field in Aug. It will be very clean and sharp! New helmet logo (not exact but will be the rabbit through the A) Home Jersey & Away Jersey (again maroon where crimson red is)
  13. you're right we do have the kids to run the ball and we'll surprise a lot of people this year. quit complaining about the young kids and the upperclassmen. to lose something you have to first have it. the upperclassmen never had interest in winning and never knew how to do so, and the other kids ran at the track meet because they were better! are you saying that just because someones a senior i should run him over a better freshmen. gimme a break!!!! i doesn't take rocket science to figure out who's faster or better in track does it?!?!?! atl lost the track meet because LE was simply loaded in track this year. look at what they did at the state meet for crying out loud! also, getting the young ones all this experience this past year is paying big dividends for the program now. some of those younger kids like the freshmen webster and last years sophomore group are men among boys now. not to mention they were miles better than a lot of the seniors this year. i've seen some of these young ones around town and they have changed a lot over the off-season work-outs! much bigger and stronger! atlanta will be a force this year i promise. the first step will be the fans getting behind them though. you're either with them or against them ftballatl99. this program has turned around in a big way this off-season based on what i hear and see. i'm looking forward to august!
  14. I wasn't aware of the '06 and '07 meetings between the Rabbs and Bucs. My error there blackflag79. Should've done my research before I opened my mouth. I was out of state for those couple of years at college, so I was a little out of touch with my stats there.
  15. The past two years Coach Melton has them in a mix of the spread and the I/Offset-I. The big focus for the first two years of Coach Melton's captainship have been on the spread, but I believe they are going back to the way things used to be done when ATL ran the ball much more. They have loads of skill kids and an O-line that can defenitely move some people around this year. I think the biggest plus for ATL is going to be that most of the kids returning played a lot last year on the varsity squad. Things are buzzing over there so I hear.
