  1. Noticed this recent posting.... • Senior quarterback Darian "Stump" Godfrey (Gilmer, Texas/Gilmer) has two visits set up. The 6-1, 205-pounder will make visits to Virginia Jan. 22 and Nebraska Jan. 29. UNLV and Kansas State have also shown interest in the 3A state champion signal caller.
  2. :cripple: Ima say it one more time for the last time!...Smoaky annual round robin 7 on 7 flag football game by classification. Lobo stadium, suit up for your high school football team & bring your smack talkin to the field!! Only Smoaky.com members (no ringers) can play. (Gilmer- I think Manny Johnson is a registered member just incase somebody makes this happen)......Winner takes all and the golden toilet seat to his schools trophy case!... Just an idea...
  3. I have always been under the impression that the spread was a #### child of the run and shoot. The reason it was ran was to "spread" the defencive field for offenses whos teams had minimal talented athletes or a few exceptional athletes. Spreading the field allowed for more defenses to defend more areas of the field and give the offense more options to get those athletes into open spaces. It also brings to an even bigger light that "defenses win championships"!....IMHO
  4. Thanks for the info...He actually had some good kickoff returns and did decent at RB. The kid that started ahead of him after they stopped platooning was just quicker, I thought. I think he would have faired better staying at OU, but who knows really.
  5. Why dont the Gilmer reps & the Carthage reps from Smoaky.com meet up at Lobo Stadium get sum flags, get sum zebras...and lets get it on!!...settle it old skool!! :cripple:  :banghead:   Call it ....DIV I vs DIV II Champions Toilet Bowl...have th logo make up shirts....
  6. I noticed halfway through the season that JJ was not playing. Have been waiting to hear what has happened but there hasnt been any press. Does anyone have a clue? I havent heard anything in Gilmer either.
  7. Cowboys Stadium has just as many problems.. watched the game online and the refs mic was not working during the first half but was for the second half and you could hear it on tv...
  8. Link to replay of the game..its quarter by quarter.... http://bigcountryhomepage.com/content/spor...ampionship_2009
  9. Gilmer has made mistakes, but unlike Cuero, Wylie just has no offense for the first half and the Black Flag defense is winning in the trenches or should i say behind the line. Oh for anyone wondering, the Homer Wylie announcers who are doing the play by play on TV are doing a good job and actually not being so homerish, but you can tell one of the guys is just brewing to do so...lol
  10. Wylie just has no offensive answers...this could get ugly!!
  11. Has to be the worst article I have ever read!!...Wow!...Cameron Yoe, really I was at that game and as I recall Gilmer lost...I dont think there is one true fact about Gilmer & JT in that article. Pathetic!! Stoopid Media!!
  12. Oh...hey AOB...one last idea for you and the Booster club....out of omage to Clemson...sumbody should create a concrete buckeye, painted of course and mount it ona pedestal right behind the PRIDE walkway so them bux can rub it for good luck on their way through there....just sayin...last one...scoustout
  13. You th man!!...all i ask is that a couple shirts, hats, and sweatshirts be left in a shatty old box beside the logo at approximately 6:45pm...preferably womens size medium and a mans size medium....lol...if any thing looks suspicious we will have to make otha arrangements. Shadow service will be watching...lol Oh heck there is another idea right there...there shud be service detachments of students...need a big army of buckeye bell...wear camo ring bell..."bell service"....guys in full orange and black camo who are carrying a big gilmer buckeye flag "like the horns have"...call them "silent service"....i dont know somebody run with it!!....scoutsout
  14. Well to be honest it wouldnt be the first time one of my ideas was used in Gilmer and I didnt get credit for it...lol....your th prez...make it happen!!...lol
  15. Its too bad that the logo couldnt get some orange and black camo shirts and hats made for this game....to literally signify an army of buckeyes in the stands.....my guess is they would make a killing!....?....Maybe a million dollar idea for next year i shoulda kept to myself...lol.........and a dollar of every sale could go to sponsoring a military family with a loved one overseas.....??
