Baseball team plays dirty and talks trash too. So what do you expect? Mostly same kids.

Poe will have them ready as they can get. Got some good kids but the OL has got some work to fill the shoes of the guys who graduated and Lee has a real challenge to him to fill Brown's place. He's pretty good but not the natural athlete that Brown was. They will be scrappy and hungry for sure.

Hard working young man. Coach Hector will certainly miss his help from what I saw. He worked the field, drove the boys home after the games and did all the grunt work. He'll for sure be better off. iMO

and they played without their starting quarterback Brown who when put out by injury had next to the top numbers in the distrrict and their best running back Everett lost to ankle break.

Bev you nut case. You keep me laughing. I guess if what you say is so that would be a great deal for Hector. And yeah the situation does challenge the baseball program.But you know Football reigns supreme in East Texas. No matter that the baseball team at SH always goes farther than football...Fball rules. Go figure. BTW good to hear from you.

My prayers are offered up for a miracle healing of this young man. God be with him and his family.

I read his stats and where he has been but what about Trout the person? Anyone know him perssonally? What is he like as a human being? Temperment? Character? Ethics? And do you think the other coaches will leave? He is very young. Would like to know more about him. Not bashing either.I honestly do not know the man but want to know about him.

Bev Im not sure but I believe All district honors are not awarede until all teams in the districts are out of the playoffs. And no SH does not do baseball during football and Hector Coached football. During basketball alot of his players play basketball and are practicing that sport during athletic period. So no he does not have them during off season. He did get them earlier than Carthages' coach though because they went farther in Fball. Carthage had great season and have a great coach there is no argument there but I do believe Hector had a bigger challenge to overcome . but what I really appreciate is the fact that the two of them are friendly and have great respect for one anotheIr . And when Gavin and Brown went to the All Star Game they roomed together. I wonder if the 2 coaches arranged that. Maybe the coaches voted for him because he celebrated hiss 200th win, Who knows. It's a done deal.

And the fact that Hector had to learn his teams talents and replace places with kids he did not know. It take a lot of work to walk into a new program and put togeter the team he did. I say "good pick". Carthage coach is just as good but he knew what he had and all off season to put it together. Someone has to lose and sometime it's a great coach or kid. And SH did go farther in the playoffs and Hector got his 200th win this year.

Have they hired a new coach? Anyone knoww?

North Team Justin Wingfield of Hallsville was named to the 4A all state 2nd team as a second baseman He will play in the 4a-5a THSCA State All Star Game on Sunday
