  1. Wouldn't disagree with any of that.
  2. I'm not comparing Big 12 OOC games with anyone from any other conference here, just answering your question.... Ok State played Arizona (they stunk this year, but this was scheduled while AZ was in 3 cons bowl games) K-State played Miami Baylor played TCU OU played FSU Mizz played ASU Texas played BYU and UCLA (they played in a bowl game and their conference championship game...regardless of reason, they still played!) A&M played Arkansas Iowa State played Iowa Kansas played Georgia Tech The only team in the Big 12 that didn't play anyone tough OOC is TT. Their best OOC game was Nevada.
  3. The only problem with this is, SF's offense isn't productive anywhere!
  4. New Orleans has the #1 offense in the league going against the #2 defense of SF. However, New Orleans has the #24 defense in the league going against the #26 offense of SF. Even if the Niners "slow" down the Saints, I'll still take the Saints as the Niners offense will not be able to keep up. *FYI: In NFL history, no team has ever made the SB with an offense "NOT" ranked in the top 25. SF is #26! Just an interesting note.
  5. I'm not saying that they won't beat GB...I'm just saying that in my opinion I don't think they do. Not in January in GB.
  6. I don't think the Saints beat GB in GB in January.
  7. My only problem with the +1 option is, it's not enough. Every year there are teams that get ranked lower than 4th that would have just as much of an argument for a chance as anyone. Personally, I think 12 would be great because you then get those teams that finish with 1 loss, but yet don't get the favoritism of the bigger schools. However, 12 teams isn't happening anytime soon. That said, I would like to see them start with 8! But anything is better than the system we have now and a +1 would at least be a start.
  8. Neither did Bama...but they're still being included in this.
  9. Apparently you don't. Go back and read the first few arguments of this thread. My original comment was Highly disagreeing with you stating Arkansas has a legitimate argument as the 3rd best team in the country and my reasons why. That then led to h-town comparing Arkansas to several of the Big 12 teams which led to a debate between me, h-town, and several others regarding his opinion of Arkansas vs Big 12 teams and how Arkansas would have fared in the Big 12 this year. You then threw out the comment to me comparing the SEC to the Big 12. Which was NOT what the argument was about and coincidently enough, neither was the thread....which you so adamantly pointed out created!
  10. Well again, that's a matter of opinion. And as I've already stated, comparing teams by what they did against like opponents is about the dumbest argument you can make.
  11. What are you saying at all??? Our argument is about Arkansas in comparison to the Big 12....NOT the SEC in comparison to the Big 12! If you want to jump into a debate, then know what you're talking about!
  12. Because I'm not basing my opinion on ONE game!!!! But no, records don't matter...entirely. Did Houstons 13-1 record matter when the final poll put 13 programs above them with multiple losses in the final poll? Did the Giants 10-6 record matter when they beat the UNDEFEATED Patriots? Does the best team always win? NO!
  13. Oh, one more thing.... You mentioned earlier how ridiculous the Big 12 homerism here. Which to me, implies you think the Big 12 is also weak. Yet you keep pointing out that OSU "squeeked by the 2nd or 3rd best Pac team". Well then, Arkansas "squeeked" past the SEVENTH best Big 12 team.....HAHAHA!
  14. You do realize that's exactly how Ok State lost their game right? Apparently, neither does logic! But since you want to keep making that argument, then once again you're still WRONG! You know, since Ok State finished with a better record than Arkansas. So none of our other arguments even make a difference anymore. Cause you think records proves everything which in this case proves Ok State IS better than Arkansas. Next?
  15. Again, another stupid argument. They are two completely different style offenses and players. Oregon's offense is incredibly athletic, fast, and quick. Put them against someone with speed and muscle, and they get pounded (that's what happened against LSU). Ok State on the other hand is very physical, big, and fast. The only offense that would have success against Bama or LSU is one where the players are just as big, just as physical, and just as quick as the defenders are on the other side of the ball. Ok State did have each of those...Oregon only had the speed. And before you read anything from that that isn't there, that does not mean that I just said that Ok State's offense was better. Just better built for a defense like LSU.
  16. I haven't seen any facts! Just a bunch of opinions that so for, NO ONE has agreed with you on.
  17. I'm still trying to understand your logic about this whole thing. I mean, you said yourself that losses define a season. Yet Bama lost to LSU, but still played for the NC....and you seem to be okay with that. Then you want to argue against Ok State's best win...which I would actually argue Stanford and not OU, but that isn't the point here. Point is, Bama lost yet you aren't arguing against the fact they got a 2nd chance. Bama's best win before their second chance was Arkansas, a team with 2 losses. Ok State finished the season with 1 loss. You said losses define a season. So according to your own logic, Ok State IS better than Arkansas. Let's see what argument you make against your own logic here!
  18. 1) Justin Blackmon alone had 8 catches for 186 yards and 3 TD's...Guy was UNstoppable. But they got lucky, LOL! 2) Don't know how long you've been watching football, but comparing teams by what they did against like opponents is about as stupid of an argument as you can make. 3) HAHAHAHAHA......well if that isn't the pot calling the kettle black! But who am I kidding, I'm sure we're arguing with an aggy fan who actually thinks you'll win in the SEC!
  19. And no Kidding! Who were they supposed to have competition with, Kent St? No wait, North TX? Oh I remember, Georgia Southern! The only freaking team Bama played out of conference was Penn State!
  20. Here's the thing, Ok State didn't just beat OU...they annihilated them (sorry OU fans, but you know it's true). And it's funny how SEC fans (which sorry, you're not even in the conference yet so get off the wagon) get their panties in a wad when fans want to say it's not the conference as a whole, but rather one or two teams. Yet the Pac may stink as a whole, but they do have 2-3 Great teams. And yet here you are doing exactly what SEC fans argue with others about....Irony! With the exception of Ok State's ONE slip up, the only pansy they even let play them close was A&M! Like I've already pointed out, Arkansas struggled with Troy, Ole Miss, and Vandy. And got blown out of the stadium against LSU and Bama! Sorry, but Arkansas winning the Big 12 would NOT have happened. And losses define a season?....then two losses by a combined 79 points with an SEC defense speaks volumes!
  21. Boise State beat the 3rd best SEC team (seeing as how you think records prove who's better than who, Georgia lost one game in the "best" conference in college football....Arkansas lost 2!). So I guess since the SEC is the best thing since sliced bread, Boise State is technically the 3rd best team in the country. Right? More like Beatdowns!
  22. No, because regardless of what a few A&M fans want to argue (simply because they're now in the conference), Arkansas was still not better than OU, or Ok State. And if they want to keep arguing it based on one game, then I'll remind them that obviously beating a team one time does NOT prove you're better than they are. SEC fans should understand that!
  23. That's what I said in my previous post, if they played before all the OU injuries. I just didn't repeat it since it had only been 2-3 comments in between. Then again, they did give up 79 combined points to Bama and LSU (and we all know how bad their offenses are) with an "SEC" defense. So maybe OU would have scored 45 even with the injuries, LOL.
  24. Arkansas would have finished 3rd in the Big 12 this year behind Ok State and OU!
  25. I think you'll find A LOT of people who will argue Against that! Maybe had those been their only two losses and they were actually close games....maybe. But they lost to Bama 38-14. They lost to LSU 41-17. They beat Troy who went 3-9 by only 10! They beat A&M by only 4 because A&M didn't know how to play in the 2nd half this season. They beat 2-10 Ole Miss by 5. They beat 6-7 Vandy by only 3. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Arkansas wasn't a good team...I think they were. But acting like they were one of the best teams in college football simply because their only 2 losses came to the top two teams is like Detroit Lions fans thinking they actually had one of the best teams in the NFL when they started 5-0! Personally, I think Arkansas would lose to Ok State, Oregon, USC, Stanford, OU (before the injuries), and even Boise! I'd rank them all ahead of them. There is a reason they are barely in the Top 15 of the "Way to early" top 25 for next year.
