McGee always seems to play against the best reciever, he has held his own against some pretty good players! We keep hearing he can't cover this guy or that guy, he is too short , but he always seems to play pretty good. I will bet you he is looking foward to the challange.

Longview has WH thats all that matters this week, next week is next week. GO LOBOS I am so ready for the playoffs, I love this time of the year.

Texas High, Lancaster and Carter did it last year and paid a BIG price, Lobos jumped all over them. I hope the come out on the middle of Lobo stadium and do it.

I agree and so do a lot of Lobo fans, Longview can play with anyone when the put it together.

I agree with you Pops , Longview can play a competitive game against LT , BUT they have got to get it together, and beating MP, Hallsville, and PT 45-0 or so and not looking at all crisp will not beat these type team LT, DG etc. I am not bashing the Lobos or I don't feel Kram, Frank and the others are either, but we know football and see what we see. I think it runs deeper than just x's and o's but I don't know what it is. Maybe it is because our compitition is a little down and the guys just play down I don't know. We will not win the fourth and fifth rounds of the playoffs playing like this. But in 06 the last regular season game Tatum beat Carthage 22-20 and should have lost, the next week beat Brownsboro 14-13 and struggled,,,,, after that they played teams that were touted as very good and really played hard and won out, maybe we will see a more focused Lobo team when the playoffs start. We will see , GO LOBOS!

LOL Frank,, thats too funny, I am not saying Longview is a bad team at all, but its like a chain and sprocket with teeth missing you go a while and then slip. or remember when you were a kid and the chain kept jumping off your bike, it's just frustrating.

Cedar Park beat #4 in 5A Stonie Pont this week and got CRUSHED by Lake Travis like 55-14 or somthing like that in week 3....... They are the best team in Texas..

I agree in the blame needing to go on the kids as well, but all have to take their share of the blame.. Kids had to be chased down and located by the coaches, running backs were at the other end of the bench messing around with the offense on the field,, you can look for all the good you want to ,, but things had better get a lot better or the first good team we play it will be South Garland all over again.

Look people can say what they want , but if you meet a good defensive football team in the playoffs and they key on and shut down youR run, you have to be able to COMPLETE passes, period, or you will lose. Last night was the worst half I have ever seen on accuracy!!!! 190 yards,,,,ok but look at the drives and scores we could have made if we could just complete passes. One drive three badly missed passes . 3 and out punt. Terrible terrible showing,, 45 - 0 looks good in the news paper but we had a kickoff for a TD and two drives under 27 yards on turnovers. One long drive in the first half.

For that to work you would need to keep McGee in , and I think he can do a good job, but not part time.

I totally agree Kram, I don't know what the problem is but we can't hit a wide open reciever with little or no pressure on the QB. Shuttling McGee in is not the answer and we are in week 7. Eleven weeks should be enough to tune your passing game, they played 16 games last year and have the same QB and 2 recievers back. I don't know what they need to do. Accuracy is the problem, but how do you fix it?

Catdaddy you barely beat Tatum and you think you will hang with the Lobos, I'm not trying to say Longview is all that, but they are way toooooo much for the Cats!

If I remember correctly in 1998 Marshall ran the second half kickoff back for a TD, wait flag on the Mavs, bring it back, Lobo fans go crazy, Bero kicks deep to the same guy ,,,,,,, TD again, that play won Longview the bonehead call of the year in College Football insider mag. ( I think that was the mag.) Crazy game

My son played for Tatum in 06 and 07, Troup upset Tatum in Troup in 06 and it really brought they down to earth, they were on fire the rest of the year. Longview is that type team, they have everything it takes to win it all, all they have to do is play the best they can every week and take care of business.
