  1. Not calling anybody out. If you make comments like this when its obvious you know little about the team, then suffer the consequences.
  2. Today yes. Two years from now. Doubtful. Far too many people moving out there, unless they build another high school which could happen.
  3. And by the way, a very nice area with lots of high dollar homes.
  4. Team was pretty much sophs and juniors. When I moved to Houston in 1972 Fulshear was way out and only a couple of buildings and a gas station. Now, nothing but subdivisions as far as you can see and more going up everyday. This school will be 6A in the very near future.
  5. Was listening to a podcast with the Texas High coach and he was talking about realignment coming up next year. He mentioned Sulphur Springs, Jacksonville and Pine Tree as moving down to 4A. Had not heard that PT might drop. Two games to replace on the schedule.
  6. Maybe not Lobo. But I sure would be worried about Highland Park and maybe a couple of others.
  7. I guess I would have to add that with the amount of points and yardage that Legacy gave up to a pretty inept offense, then the Texas High defense is really legit.
  8. Its really time to end the TH/AHS series but I know it won't happen anytime soon. Nobody wants to go to school at AHS and the enrollment continues to plummet. At this rate they will soon be in the same district as Fouke and Genoa Central. THS would have put a serious whippin on them. Maybe Norton knew this but the team sounds awful. But this is not the same series we saw in the 60's, 70's and 80's. Just my two cents.
  9. Never any doubt who would win. TH has some work to do on penalties on offense but the defense looked good for the first game. TH qb is special. They will only get better and I don't see anyone in district touching them. A win is a win, but our resident Tyler posters all predicted a win. Shows how much they know.
  10. Texas High with solid victories over Tyler and Denison, they are the favorites, hands down. Game tonight could have been much worse.
  11. They should come back, however, for many, many years L-E was lousy and lucky to win half of their games. It was stupid to schedule the difficult schedules they have had the last couple of years. I could see where transfers would be a problem with L-E.
  12. When I was a child the 1965 Texas High team. Started the season with an upset of number 1 Galena Park and became number one in the state. Went undefeated and remained number one until the playoffs began. Defeated Dennison and Dallas Hillcrest before facing Odessa Permian in Ft. Worth at TCU. Lost the game after falling behind and then rallying to just fall short. Permian went on to crush San Antonio Lee the next week for the championship. This was the first state championship for Permian. Some of the players from both teams attended U of Texas and were major contributors to the 1969 National Championship team at Texas. This was known as the best team Watty Myers ever coached. Memories!
  13. Looks like this. Texas High, Mount Pleasant, Marshall, Pine Tree, Hallsville, Jacksonville, Nacogdoches, Whitehouse. At least Texas High should be the favorite and won't have problems with non district games anymore. Arkansas High and somebody else. This is football only.
  14. Sir, finally looked up this conversation and I was wrong. It was TXK85 who made the comment. You have my sincere apology. I should have been more careful before posting. Again, sorry to upset you.
  15. I very well may know nothing at all. However, one thing I do know is that you are "The Village Idiot." And just an FYI for you SeriousDogpoop7, its not what I know...Its WHO I KNOW.
  16. I knew it would not take long before you came out of the closet. Wow, your credibility ####. That is why you are the "Village Idiot." By the way, FYI, BN won a state championship and came close to others. Just saying. SMDH
  17. I'm CEO of my families company and I'm very busy. Don't have all day to spend playing on the internet. However, I mentioned that with all the layoffs in the Texarkana area recently don't be surprised to see TH drop to D-2. Then Sirius Dogpatch replied that the only layoffs were at RRAD and they would not effect enrollment at THS. I came back and replied to look at all the empty buildings in Texarkana and that it looks like a ghost town. I mentioned the Pier 1 building that has been empty forever off the top of my head. You replied with sarcasm a blazing that "Wow, that Pier 1 building sure makes a big difference in enrollment" or something like that. Well, that and all the other empty buildings in your town sure add up. He stated that the enrollment at THS was the same as Longview and Tyler Lee. Yeah right. You can look it up, maybe last February.
  18. No sir, never mentioned "conspiracy." Simply repeated what I was told, then was told by the Smoaky experts that I was wrong. FYI, the hired help was in the superintendent's office, you believe what you want. I don't care. But I was right.
  19. You may well be right. However, it helps when there is somebody within 20 yards to the receiver. If he had stayed home that play would not have worked. By the way, I was on the field during that play, were you?
