  1. Hard to argue with any of these 3, esp, Rollins and Tucker. But Reagan has filled in nicely while they were hurt.
  2. Carthage will either beat Gilmer or Henderson. Probably not both. Will finish 2nd or in a tie for 1st. Soph QB is getting better and better, as is Soph RB. IMO
  3. I've seen all these teams either in scrimmages or games this year. No one is a match for CH's team speed. It is incredible for a 3A team. Gilmer is good, not great, but athletic. Lindale is not flashy at all, not alot of team speed, just play very well in all phases, and has a huge O-line. Carthage is young...starts alot of soph's. Not too good yet but capable of being real good again. You want to catch them early. Henderson will get better and better as the year goes on, and will eventually be real good too. To rank these teams right now, I would have to do it on POTENTIAL: So here goes 1 CH 2 Hend 3 Carth 4 Lind 5 Gilmer All JMO
  4. So back to the topic.....how did it go for the Lions? If all we can talk about is a horn, it must not have gone so well?
  5. I would be real surprised if the word "revenge" was used by anyone for a scrimmage. Lindale and Henderson have way too much respect for each other than that. It is what it is.....a scrimmage. Nothing more.
  6. Whitehouse, Lee, JT and Lindale will start their annual 7 on 7 league play on Monday.
  7. Varsity BoysTeam points 1) Atlanta 166 JV - LE, Lindale and SS were top 3 (same teams) 2) Sulphur Springs 126 not sure after that 3) LE 87 4) Lindale 79 5) Henderson 76 6) Canton 47 7) Carthage 27 8) Gilmer 12
  8. I heard Lindale, Canton, Carthage, LE, Atl, Sulphur Spr, Henderson, Gilmer. Should be fast.
  9. Hate to hurt your feelings, but I've seen Lindale play. Lindale isn't very good period. Coaching doesn't make it any worse...The players just are not very good. Fact
  10. Tale of 2 halves. I thought Lindale dominated the first half in all phases. Lindale's defense surprised me. They were better than advertised. The second half got off to a bad start for Lindale, and the ball started rolling towards Henderson. Fumble, INT's, bad throws, blocking broke down, and the defense started to break down. The big MO took over for the Lions, and Lindale never recovered. Fun game to watch. Big crowd and the game was as good as expected. Good luck to Henderson next week, and great year for the Eagles. Lovejoy/Celina..Shocker???? Didn't really know what to expect in that one.
  11. Good luck to both teams. 2 great teams, 2 great coaching staffs, some very good players on each. Henderson has the edge in athleticism. Lindale, the edge in winning big games. East Texas football at its best. I will be there. May the best team, Friday night, win.
  12. On paper, I would go with Henderson no doubt. They are extremely talented. But Lindale has shown over the past 3 or 4 years in 4A, that they can play with anyone on any given night. This is the time of year that Lindale seems to be at their best. This game is a tough call though. Henderson has the weapons to win big vs anyone in 3A. #### - I'm rambling - I don't know. We will see Friday.
