This started with ludlow. I believe the coaches remove their hats that stand beside each set of players and cover their hearts, but idk if all players cover their heart or not. I don’t think it’s a protest type thing just the way he wanted to do it. Just my opinion of it. I never really noticed because I’m always looking at the flag and never in the stands. Most of the time I’m outside the stadium.
