  1. Well all in all they were not even entertaining to be honest - not sure what the deal was but hey to each there own I guess :)
  2. Well season is over but it was a great run . The Kline Bearkat band did not even go out on the feild for half time or wear any kind of uniform ????? They played a few lame songs in the stands wonder what was up with that ?????
  3. Wow man I am of course a little partial but that JT band is bringing it as hard as the football team . SHOWING out at half time and playing the entire game to keep the crowd pumped. This year everyone at JT is doing there part !!!!!!!
  4. Wow did not expect such a big response and you all have convinced me, for play offs they should play to there own crowd as most games are in a nuetral stadium and the seniors could have there last game at any time . I do however think during reguler season the etiqutte of playing to the home side is right . I personally like seeing the other bands show. For those of you all in play offs good luck !!
  5. Guess I have not thought of it that way. I am not REALLY upset I just wondered how others thought about it .
  6. Just wondering am I wrong to think that bands should play to the home crowd ecen during play offs ? Might just be my pet peave but I think that it is really rude for a band to play to the visitors side at anytime . Let me hear what you think ???
  7. The bands in drumline are actually SWAK and bassed on what I think I know it is not even recognised by UIL so actually JT is Corps .
  8. This is true Corp or show bands usually have a theme or even story to there show and is in may cases a production. A tribute to an artist or person is even considered very acceptable The hard work that is put into these shows deserves much more respect than given in region 21 . There is a lot creativity needed to pull this off and within corps/show bands there is artistry and showmanship. We do not run around knocking the military style of marching as we are taught and teach our students to respect and learn from diversity.
  9. Not sure what you meant but I do not think JT should feel like we have been blessed to gat a 2 instead of a 4 . I am assuming that is not what you meant and that you were complimenting our inprovement ?? By the way the last 4 was at least 10 years ago . I just know first hand that it is very hard for the kids to even think they could get a 1 at 2IL because it has not happened in 20 plus years no matter what they have done it just never seams to be good enough . I do know they are appreciative of the crowd reaction ( Other band students) and I guess somone in 4 and 5 A has to get less than a 1 or all the others 1's would be meaningless.
  10. Yes sir and despite the judges opinions at what we have learned to call 2IL (The contest formerly known as UIL) :) LOL -We will always be a show band .
  11. The use of the same judges over and over again is so obvious it is not even funny. The state level folks really need to get involved there are no other regions in the state following this ridiculous format. As a matter of fact most take painstaking efforts to make sure it does not happen. Anyone else concerned about this?? I checked into this and found the same results as the previous poster .
