  1. Aw, that's sweet. I guess a leopard can drop his spots. Kinda proud of dl23. Well maybe not proud but progress is welcome. Any other apologies? D-field needs some of this medicine.
  2. Stay tuned to this bunch. I watched em dominate last night and the boys WILL have to be reckoned with. Good bunch of kids and big time athletic. Good Job by the coaching staff. Makes you proud to see D-Field coming around in all areas. Great place to live and go to school.
  3. Hey, chapelhillgirlsmom your first mistake was made above when you mentioned all except....you will continue to get badgered now and if history proves itself so will ANYONE else who opposes the EGO. Stand your ground and get ready. There are no limits to it. How dare you. lol
  4. Now that's humility.
  5. Do you think that's how Toothless got his name? HEHE!
  6. yeah, Municipal Auditorium was quite a place back then. Now a days watch out. That's one of the worst parts of S'port. Remember the Bill Hanna Ford dealership close by? Many of his new cars recieved the brunt of some over zealous fans trying the "Thump" JYD style after watching some of the classics. We also played ball at the old SPAR stadium close by and enjoyed some great games against Midland Cubs, Jackson Mets, The old Captains (Pirates farm team back then). Saw Daryl Strawberry play many nights for the Jackson Mets and leave from the deepest part of the field 409 dead center with a 30+' flag pole that Strawberry cleared easily. Saw Tony Pena, Rob Deer, Robin Ventura, and many other greats. Alot of good "beer garden" brawls happened there.
  7. A school with a good admin. would definitely hire an AD in addition to individual sport heads. Otherwise, how is an AD with duties included such as the typical ET school football head duties be able to give an unbiased account of the entire program which is what AD's are tasked with. In other words, if the football program tanks and the other sports prosper.....who fires the head football guy??? Yes, that would be the AD. One in the same. Just a thought. A school with a GREAT AD would attract many more high quality coaches due to the fact that a AD would actually have some stroke with the supt. And be able to fend for ALL his coaches up and down the line. Money is not all their is to coaching as most of us coaches know. I'll take a pay cut and alot of stability with a good program anytime over some better money and the absolute threat of explaining to my family after a 6-5 football season that we need to find another home.
  8. Like most kids, this one is one "ear-holing" away from completely changing his mindset to way calmer.
  9. Finally, someone who understands the difference between an attack on their precious one and a laugh at the expense of themselves. Nice catch. From what I've seen so far, this is a talk forum not an Oprah show. You guys scare me.
  10. The thread said Bero to retire. Keep on task. Bero is a class act regardless. The guy gave his entire adult career to bettering kids so give him some slack.
  11. exactly, I think this thread should read: ok tell us how good your daughter really is like they needed the prodding. Pretty funny stuff huh? And those daddys get awfully mad just stay tuned and read. They will come out of their shoes.
  12. Predictable after reading some of your prior posts. Some can't get mentioned enough. My daughter has long since graduated and wasn't a World renown athlete like all the ones mentioned on this post. Boy,, what could have been. (ha) You guys crack me up with your sensitivity. Talk about nerves.
