I have 5 different families just on my street alone that have moved in the last 4 months. I will say that they all seem like really good people. They all said Cali was completely out of control and they couldn't live there anymore. They said there are a lot of people just like them headed this way.

It probably will before too long. Californians are flocking to Texas in great numbers. I live in a suburb south of the Metroplex and we have had several Californians move into our neighborhood. I am fixing to sell my house and make a killing and move back home to the woods of east Texas.

Waxahachie has pretty much owned Ennis the last 3 years at all levels. What makes you all think this year will be different. Waxahachie still has a lot of talent

They have been in a very tough district. It won't be much different in this new one. They will have about the same chance to make the playoffs in this one as the did their 5a district.

I would have liked to have seen it. Newton was very impressive on the defensive side and rockdale was on the offensive side. Not that they weren’t good on the other sides of the ball but that’s what they were both best at. Would have been a very interesting matchup but I tend to agree that newton was better

yeah I'm not sure why people put the statement "we just didn't play very good" in there. You didn't play very good because the other team did things to not make you play very good. It kind of discredits yoakums win. Just say good game and move on.

Well I hate to hear that for those 2 young men. Hopefully someone comes along and gives them a shot. It's pretty sad to me that most recruiting is done at camps or "select" teams for all sports but that is the world we live in now. If you don't pay some money and get your name out there it's pretty easy to slip through the cracks

I agree that schools are missing out on 2 really good players. Maybe grades are an issue or something. That's the only thing I could see keeping some schools from looking. I would think if they went to any kind of camps this summer that there would be some schools all over them.

I think Russell is a very good DB, may be better at that than receiver. It's tough to compare what people look like on film. I think seeing it live Friday night will give people a little better indication of what kind of players the Moore brothers are. They aren't being recruited by those schools for no reason. They don't just give out those kind of offers this early if they can't play.

Come on man. He is very good but easy with those kinds of statements. I agree with you that Yoakum doesn't jump out at you on film but they have beat some good teams and played some very good teams close. Cuero score was 14-7 and they lost to Giddings by 11. Both of those are 4a teams that just got beat out this past week. They beat a Taylor team that beat Rockdale. I think Malakoff looks way better on film, maybe Yoakum just plays to their competition or something. I still think Malakoff is just a better all around team and they are coached better. I think it's closer than what some think but Malakoff is too much in the end.
