Well is was a great district season for 13-4A. All the teams played well Mt Pleasant had a good season and played with a lot of heart and talent. Good luck to their two seniors and enjoy college ball. Marshall went down fighting and we that watch softball want to thank you for making this season great. Sulphur Springs keep fighting, your game Saturday looked more like the team you are. Good Luck Monday we are looking forward to watching you. Keep 13-4A in the play offs along with Hallsville. Congrats Hallsville and keep swinging those bats we will be watching you in the play offs!!

I just heard Mt Pleasant lost to Sulphur Springs 11 to 1. This makes SS 2nd and Marshal 3rd and Mt Pleasant 4th. From what I was told 4th is where they were trying to get, by not playing any of their regular starting players and not pitching main pitcher. Guess they got what they want, hope it works out for them. SS plays Henderson Friday night 6:30 in Longview Pine tree field Same field Saturday 2pm (if) game Monday 6:30 Marshall plays Whitehouse time and place??? Mt Pleasant plays Lindale time and Place??? That is the update I got does this sound right? Some very good softball this weekend!!! GOOD LUCK DISTRICT 13 GO GET THEM!!!!

Looks like we are going to do some traveling to see some of the best Softball in East Texas. Hallsville in Nac Friday does anyone know where and who is playing who on the other three teams?

Thanks that sounds like an interesting game to watch. How did Marshall do tonight last I heard you were ahead of Hallsville. Just got a text that SS 14 Longview 1 in 5th.

Can you tell me what district she is in I would very much like to keep up with her. Good pitchers are fun to watch and hers would be some games I would like to be at. Where does she play next, is she starting?

I am going to have to agree with PT fan. Umpires are not for either team all there strike zones are alittle different. Some we like better than others. A good pitcher can adjust for the umpires strike zone, if not it is easier to blame the umpire than to admit that your pitcher needs to work on her pitches more. No umpire at that PT - TH game was for either team they are good men doing a job. It is irritating to hear Pitchers parents & Player parents yelling at the umpires for mistakes made by their players. I don't call it gift wrapping when your team makes errors and cost you the game. You just got beat give the other team credit they played a better game. Are you capable of playing a better game Yes did you play a good game no you LOST. Their were many parents in the stands that were not proud of other parents comments about the umpires and players. Congradulations to Texas High Stay solid.

WOW!!! Here is a game I decided to go watch and am I glad I did. The game started out looking like Marshall would dominate scoring 3 early. Marshall hit a double and then went home on two bad throws or pass #### (what ever you want to call them) Second Hit was a HomeRun. Third run scored on three hits. SS went the first 5 innings without crossing the plate, then in the sixth inning SS began to Hit the ball scoring 3 runs to tie the game. In the 7th Marshall scored a run on a bad throw to first by second base making the score 4 to 3 . Bottom of the 7th Sulphur Springs batter was out at first, 2nd batter got a single, third batter flyed out to center. The fourth batter their third baseman had a 3 - 1 count and slammed it to center field fence, it bounced off the fence getting pass the right fielder. She drove in a run with an easy triple, but then while getting the ball back in, a bad throw sent the ball rolling to the fence between 3rd and home. She took off and slid in under the throw. Sulphur Springs won 5 to 4 and the crowd went wild. It was a well fought battle by both pitchers and defense with great plays by both teams. Glad I did not miss that one, WOW what excitement!!!

1 or 9 two words to remember "Consistency and Control" with out them you can not say you can pitch that pitch. A really good pitcher one that you will always remember is one that you see that wants it more than her dad or mom does. She will be throwing #### and practicing everyday because she wants it. This is true for any position on the field. No one else can make her more than what she wants to be. Sad but true Dads and Moms

I agree they have 7 innings to prove what they can do. Marshall will get another chance to show what they can do next time they play TH and I hope to be there. I looked SS and MP will meet up again on April 23 this is a game I will be sure to make. That Wildcat and Tiger will go paw to paw. I understand that both teams played great defense and both pitchers were great. All these teams want it and you can tell watching them. It is amazing to watch, they get better each week.

All that matters is the final score. Give credit to the team that won they beat you. Should-a, would-a, could-a hind sight is a wonderful thing. Figure out what you did wrong and work on it. Fix-it come back and take control. All the teams in this district are strong and can beat any team in the district, given the right chance. One error, One pitch, One decision can change the outcome of any game. That is why we love Softball. Who would want to play in a district where all your games were 10-0. These teams will push each other to get better. That is why they are so much fun to watch. Who is going to come out 1 thru 7 we will all have fun watching!!! What talent this district has. "GO TEAMS"
