  1. HUGE win for Texas High.... could have foreseen a close W at home, but 22?!?!? huge loss for lobos... district favs preseason with marshall I believe? ... table set for Friday at Marshall vs TxHigh
  2. if the other team has possession, that coach should be given a technical (some may let it slide, if he is next to official and not loud when calling it) if ball is loose, it shouldn't have been awarded obviously... sometimes ref that grants TO in that situation is "off ball" and doesn't see ball loose... often will claim TO was called prior to lost possession...
  3. I would agree with many points... Coaches and fans want consistency..... I would like more consistency between chapters... they all have the same rules... I would be interested in seeing the average number of fouls called by chapter/crew/size of school... at the end of the day, players and coaches need to be able to adjust to how the game is being called, but to their defense, 50 total fouls one game to 18 the next in a different chapter is quite perplexing when similar styles of ball were being played between the two games.... Proximity and clarity of fans/coaching yelling can definitely cause several issues officiating reciprocating the play/coaching was well said...
  4. IMO the toughest of all sports to officiate for a variety of reasons... Do you feel certain chapters are better than others? Opinions on big school vs small school officials... girls/guys? Certain calls you would like to see more/less of?
  5. season and district records for all teams?
  6. Atl with quick response to LE td... 49-21RABBS
  7. ....sounds like score is what is out of control...
  8. .....Atlanta fans aren't too concerned with their upcoming lopsided victory tonight
  9. 3rd string or not... throwing ball around trying to score late in 4th... not good... what goes around comes around
  10. airing it out late in 4th I hear... classy!
  11. gazette writers will go ATL straight across... no need to wait DUBB...
  12. ohio state - agree, that's what I was alluding to on my last post on page one ole man - even if they "gel" - find it hard to believe they stay within 14 points of either HS or PP
  13. love you too... just like going against the grain... so... ignorance - lack of knowledge or information ex/ Based on his posts, Bostonlion is completely ignorant to the game of 6 man football agree... we were educated at different levels ... your 3rd post prior "be definition it is not" and you have proceeded to use the scientific journal "Wikipedia" to support your claims...
  14. ^ going to take the under on that... 3rd at best if they play well against bottom tier... unless all of PP 1s are out...
  15. ^ would be shocked if those aren't the top 2
  16. interested to see how much of hooks start is better ball or better scheduling... earlier in the thread someone said they would finish 3rd in the district... that would be a huge improvement, but I will be interested to see how they compete against the top two (paul pewitt and hughes springs)
  17. bostonlion- you asked the question why, and several have answered.... yet, you bash, and prove your ignorance repeatedly... don't see the point in bashing something you have never seen... or live where the people live who play it... Matthias... id disagree with you and say some of the best line play is in 6 man, if you were to watch two old school west texas six man teams... some of you have said its not "real football".... well... if you mean 11 man, then... duh... but I would like to point out that several area schools don't play "real football" either, and they have 11 on both sides of the ball....
  18. so LE92... on a scale of 1-10 you would give Pat Brady a ______?
  19. Dogon... the only thing wrong with Parker was discipline??? ....wins?!?! the fact that his first job is AD, and he did very little/nothing at all to support other programs?! the fact that many more kids come out and have stayed in fball since his departure? say what you want about BN, but he does do a good job of taking care of other programs and assuring he has coaches in place for each sport to be successful...
