  1. I was banned from this site for 10 days because my commentary regarding this league. It looks as though what I stated is coming to fruition. Sorry, the truth hurts sometimes. I just don't see this little experiment making it much longer.
  2. There is a flag football team in Tyler/East Texas. They're called the East Texas Drillers. lol! I think anyone could walk on and play. It's a talented roster. I hear they're paid with coupons to Sonic and gas money to get back and forth from the games. You know that anyone who is paid to play is considered a PROFESSIONAL. So, want to be a PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL PLAYER? East Texas Drillas!
  3. They should give away free Nachos at the games. Maybe more people would show up? In fact, they should have a free buffet. No, a free buffet with beer. No, free beer served by some lovely ladies. Maybe free beer, and free t-shirts. Free schwag brings in the people. "Serve beer and they will come." I mean, it's PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL, right? No? Then at least supply the free Nachos.
  4. :notworthy: <<<<< He's not bowing, he's wafting away the smell of your ignorance, SON.
  5. Do they pay them with coupons to McDonald's or give them gas money so they can make it to the games? lol....chill out there little fella. I would venture to guess that the TJC team would blow these guys out. This Bush league arena ball is really just glorified flag football. People won't pay for that. I'm just saying what most people are thinking. I'm sure there are a few players here and there who played a little D1 or even tried out for a NFL team or two, but it's just not what most would lay down a c-note for to entertain the family on a Sunday afternoon. I could see the community getting behind UT Tyler if they brought in football, but this is a little bit sad. At least they have a groupie with you, though. I bet they'll let you wash jocks and polish helments if you ask? (Of course, they probably do that themselves, too.)
  6. lol! That's good stuff. Suit up with a bunch of 2A High School All Stars? Sounds tough! lol! If you only knew, son. But, at any rate, that's immaterial. My point is, this just isn't PROFESSIONAL football, and from what I've heard, it's cheaper to take the family to a Rangers game. I'm sure these guys bust their tails, and the staff probably works for free. I'm taking nothing away from that. But, it's still just minor league stuff. I'll spend my money on the Cowboys, Rangers and Mavs.
  7. Sorry guys. This is below Bush league stuff. It's fun to see that Tyler has something different to do, but this isn't PROFESSIONAL football. Most of these guys were small high school heros at best. This will bust, just like the Tyler Wildcatters (which was actually entertaining.) This just isn't a great area for supporting these types of minor league sports. 400 people at the game? Once you take out friends and relatives, that's like 200 people, right? This is Texas, and we love our football. But we love REAL football, not this minor league, Bad News Bears bit. It's almost embarrassing.
