Which school are we talking about recruiting??? Canton? Tatum? or Gilmer? I have heard of Tatum and Gilmer being accused if it not Canton. I also would think that Tatum and Gilmer dont have to recruit. Winning tradition takes care of that.

Correction........gilmers baseball team won their district and played in the third round where they lost to Spring Hill. Along with the thread the AD should be the football coach at all schools under 5A, it's the only program that actually makes money for the school and it requires the most work.

Pretty sure that the girls basketball and volleyball teams have done well and are doing well. The baseball team won district last year and so did the boys track team. The basketball team struggled but that's because they play football until December every year.

Looks like Dirty Bird has some Gilmer jealousy issues to deal with.

Arp and WO wouldn't even be close, but Arp and Tatum should be a good game. Good preseason list!

Do you mean kids don't have the "right" to play sports???? This is crazy, I am writing my state legislature today! Its our, everyone gets to play, everyone gets a trophy, and everyone is special mentality.

Thats a cheap shot. I am going out on a limb here, but I am pretty sure the Lobos have a little more talent at QB. I am not an expert on Lobo football just an observation.

Dont think attitudes have changed at gladewater at all, with callaway or baugh. Pretty sure they had two students shooting at each other, one was a football player. Also had kids failing drug tests, callaway didnt change it and it still is not changed. Football may have gotten a little better but its tough to tell with that district they are in. I am in no way bashing either coach, just making a point that its hard for a coach to change a whole school. The whole town of gladewater isnt what it used to be in the 80s and 90s, drive through there sometime. They have some athletes so they will be fine in football, only problem is district is going from hard to brutal.

Can 3A teams have "Spring Ball" now? Carthage must be looking really good in spring ball, that they arent supposed to be having, for fans to see a team good enough for this thread to get going, what a joke!!!

Isnt Hargett a coach at UG right now? They havent been great, so what would be the difference at ND, just asking not bashing anyone.

Couldnt be more true, same story with sabine. Cant win football games without tough kids, and you dont learn toughness playing roundball in the gym. The parents and community doesnt want this to change, they just want to blame football coaches when they dont win.

I would like to know how Sabine is the best job out of these??? I am pretty sure that UG, ND, and OC would beat Sabine in football and they are all small 2A. ND is probably the best job out of these 4, but there will still be several people apply for them.
