  1. That's is against UIL rules right now. That would be a bad way to start a new program.
  2. It is the DC. You can bank on that.
  3. The ex-head coach said he expected 90 kids in football this last year. He barely had half of that number show up and play. He did not have any idea or relationship with the players. Their numbers were embarrassing. Only two teams in high school this year at SH. The new coach has to get the numbers up and have a real read on his team.
  4. Pretty sure it is a squeaky wheel. But like in politics and the PC environment it has caused rumors and talk. It is a shame that a very few loud 'supporters' can cause so much damage for a athletic school system.
  5. With support at home like you it is safe to say the kids will not be 'ALL IN' for the team and coaches. It is hard enough to start a new program. It is impossible when the kids get home and get negative mixed messages about their program from their main support line.
  6. I have Gilmer in a close game. The Gilmer staff will have the team ready and they matchup well with Sunnyvale.
  7. Bells runs a spread offense. The QB is the coaches son. He was a 2A player of the year last year with high passing numbers. They throw the majority of the time. Defense plays real loose or deep in the secondary. They are very well coached with hard working kids. Not overly talented with speed. Harmony should get a win.
  8. Didn't SH take a charter bus to 7 on 7 state!!! lol!!! How's that working out for y'all?
  9. Gilmer still has a great coaching staff. The same guys that won for many years are still coaching at Gilmer. A coaching staff is what makes the head coach, not the other way around. I bet SH would gladly welcome anyone on Gilmers staff.
  10. Yea, SH was better cause they had one 'transfer' RB last year. Without him they would have been as bad as they are this year. Didn't SH go to state 7 on 7 on a charter bus this year..LOL!!!
  11. If a team lines up with a 1 and a 8 tech, the DC and head coach should be fired. That leaves 3 gaps uncovered.. Even SH could score with that defensive alignment..LOL!
  12. The whooping on SH may be worse than predicted. Word is SH QB broke his thumb on his throwing hand. Anyone verify this?
  13. WO will take this one, but not by much. ND has a real threat with Choice and the Freeman kid is a force. If Choice can keep his cool and not get thrown out of the game. I think this game may be decided late in the 4th quarter. WO is down on offense this year and it may be a struggle with Choice as FS.
