I saw a dead skunk on the highway 'bout an hour ago Straw. Want me to grill-it-up for ya??:w00t: It all looks the same when its cooked.
  8. Nope. The important thing here is NOT the fact that there are six different versions, the important fact is that six different people witnessed the resurrection and recorded it for us. Believe what you will. It's your choice. I believe they all had to much sacrificial wine. :w00t:
  9. And thats the difference between you and I. You believe the forest is there without question because someone told you so. I would rather go through the trees and see the forest for myself. ;)
  10. Faith? Why can't the six accounts of the resurrection be reconciled? Paul says that without the resurrection, the Christian faith is in vain (1 Cor 15:14). How could the biblical accounts possibly disagree on such an important narrative? All were there, were they not? Which account are we to beleive? That's like six different people telling you about the tornado that hit. You will get six different versions. Each person saw the same event, but told the story from his own point of view. We are human, not perfect. The details surrounding the resurrection are not as important as the fact that it occured. Some folks can't see the forest because of all the trees. Bull! All six are different. Statistically at least 2 should be the same. You are in denial.

  13. That brings us to the ONE thing that you did not want to hear: FAITH. Oh yeah! The answer when you are in a corner. Nice one Colmes but Im sure JPure has a more logical answer.

  15. He did know that man would fail. That is why THE WORD was with him in the beginning, so that man could be redeemed from his failure. It is extreme hubris for man to try to comprehend the will of God. ;) Sooooo your saying that God failed? What word was with him? Have ever christian that has died already been judged? Or do they have to wait for the second coming? If they have not been judged then were are they? God did NOT fail. He did know that when he gave his creation free will, that his creation would fail. Therefore, THE WORD that was with God in the beginning. Luke 1 tells us that " In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS God." The WORD is Jesus Christ. God had the plan for redemption before man even fell. Man is NOT judged at death. The story of Lazarus and the rich man lets us know that souls await judgement in paradise or torment and a great gulf separates the two. Final judgement will come at the second on Judgement Day. Where is objective, verifiable evidence that a soul or spirit exists and survives the body after death? Why does the Old Testament deny such an idea until the later writings, which show the influence of Greek ideas? I dont believe idea of "progressive revelation" does not explain this.

  17. If we live in a fallen world it is because your God failed. Maybe Ra could have done better. What you dont get is that if God knows and sees everything then he knew before he created the world and man that we would fail. Would you let people fly on an airplane that you made that you knew would crash? If you do then you are a mad man. God must be nuts.

  20. According to Metalica, God has failed. And they wont steer us wrong.:w00t: All you have to do is look at this world to see that if there is a God he has failed miserably. Look no furthur than all the young children dieing needlessly. If their is a God then he is nothing but a slum lord of a run down apartment complex.
  21. Sin comes naturally. Do you have kids Colmes? My 5 and 3 year old began to lIE to my wife and I without having learned it anywhere. OBTS and aggIEbacker are right because they are going to the Bible to see what God says about our sinful natures. Also, show me where it talks about "the age of accountability" in the Bible. I always belIEved that came from the Bible, but I recently heard that it is not in the Bible anywhere. Can you show me where that doctrine comes from (seriously)? A 5 and 3 year old is not a newborn. You show me a newborn that lies and Ill go to church. When a child lies for the first time, it is self preservation. It is your responsibility to teach your child when it is OK to lie....IE.....no mother that dress does not make you look fat! :w00t:

  23. Colmes Im starting to think you are a closet Democrat with that answer. Your just speaking in circles. If believing that man is the ultimate power then you can call me agnostic. :w00t:
  24. But if you give God all the credit for good then its only natural to blame him for the bad. God cannot be you crutch without ramifications. If someone dies then it must be God's choice.
  25. Yes, God knew that Eve would eat the fruit. That does NOT imply that he wanted her to. He set things in motion and the free will of Adam and Eve falling to the temptations of Satan led to their downfall. God IS. He is living in those times AND He is living at the end of the universe. He is living in ALL times in between. That is the nature of infinity. Our finite minds have trouble understanding that. (some of us anyway. ) Then what you have is a paradox. God must have known when man was created that they would choose the path they did. Certainly God, as powerful as you claim, could have prevented evil. Therefore God is at least guilty of an assessor.
