  1. I bet this is going to be outstanding because the book was awesome.
  2. The kicker with the affluence is they really ain’t that rich. They don’t have SLC money, they have Parker county money. $100k a year job puts you in the top 10% of affluence in Parker county. And as already mentioned this is taught at home, it’s what kids hear at home. Kids absorb what they hear at home and when they’re at school that racism comes out. But in no way is this an Aledo ISD problem it’s a kid raising problem.
  3. Yep as Bill Parcells said, it’s a “result oriented business”. I personally think it’s more about making productive citizens in society coaching HS. Wins will come but teach those boys how to become a husband and father. As you fellas know being a husband and a father is the hardest “job title” you’ll ever have in your life. i have no clue why my font changed
  4. Is Thurston Lamb the supe? I know him, he was principal at a school south of Ft. Worth. And if Lamb is the supe I have a $100 bill that says he will push to hire a black HC.
  5. Deep East Texas is a different world than the rest of the state. Can we all agree on that point?
  6. I know for a fact because I know them personally that were offered the job and said no thanks. One is on his way to be a very successful HC in HS. The other was a VERY successful HS coach now in college. So yes, they called and talked to other people!! And that’s a FACT.
  7. If Lincoln Riley wants to ever recruit Allen HS again he’ll release Chandler to transfer.
  8. Gotta put the Tom Bean Tomcats up there with the Knippa Rock Crushers, Hutto Hippos and Itasca Wampuscats.
  9. Not too sure anyone in college wants him these days. He screwed up when he left SMU or I guess you could say he screwed up leaving Clemson. I think it was jumping into Arkansas, he wasn’t ready, should have stayed at SMU. Oh well, just my thoughts.
  10. I didn’t say you said all those things but they’ve been said on here by Pitt people. I just quoted your post to ask the question. I guess I had a typo, I said as a coach of 35 years meaning myself. I apologize if it looked like I accused you of saying those things I just chose your post to ask the question.
  11. Who’s Stiles? What was their record last year and is Baca really that bad of a coach? I know you said he wasn’t in it for the kids but give me an example of what you mean if you don’t mind. By the way if you aren’t in it for kids s a 35 year coaching veteran why is he coaching if it’s not for kids? And I don’t know him any better than I know you but I was just wondering. I’m not questioning your assessment at all just wondering why people are ready for him to get out of town. Thanks
  12. Mexia hasn’t been the same since Anna Nicole Smith moved away and later died.
  13. Abron got his 1st head job and decided he’s gonna be a traveler? 2 years at PP and 2 at Mexia?
  14. My son son played for Atteberry at Southeastern and loves him. My son played with Pitt boys Mitch Manley and Kaymon Farmer. I believe their strength and conditioning guy Sean Cooper is from Pittsburg. I too, think he is a great ball coach.
  15. You said to his trailer house. How do you know that man lives in a trailer house? I don’t think I’ve seen very many trailers in Alto to be honest.
  16. Surratt’s the play caller isn’t he or does he have a true OC that calls the offense? I’m asking not bashing.
  17. Former Lone Oak, Springtown, Eaton, Sulphur Springs coach Brad Turner. Logan was the QB at Southeastern oklahoma when my son played there. He had been at SMU and transferred out.
  18. Ctown is % correct. All this spread RPO is option. Even reading the same 2 guys, EMLOS and force player. Burleson Centennial and Midlothian are 5A schools in the same district that runs flex bone triple.
  19. Lindsey’s a pretty common name in Alto. Is it Andy’s BBQ joint?
  20. This^^^^^^^^^^ That’s my thoughts exactly but it’s VERY hard for some!! My philosophy has been posted in here before. My philosophy is “you do you, I’ll do me”. And as you said it’s pretty simple!!
  21. I served 1986-1989 at Alto. My 1st coaching job. I still have people I stay in contact with from Alto. They’re good people at the intersection of 69 and OSR. For you not familiar OSR is Hiway 21 aka Old San Antonio Road. Real good people and they love their Jackets and Mean Sting!! question for you Alto folks, does Ray Penn still have the grocery store and is Clicks BBQ still around?
  22. Another flex one triple O vote here!!
  23. Yes, you didn’t get an interview.
