Low scoring game for us. I've only watched the last 2 minutes of the 1st half. Not sure if it's Winny D or if our shots aren't falling. Winny in striking distance.

    Tatum 16 Winnsboro 11 halftime

I'm just listening to it and it seems like you guys are cold as ice but your defense is coming through...if I heard the announcers correctly Winny has 18 turnovers!!! Hard to believe they are close!

16 is a solid performance against that kind of defensive pressure. I wasn't aware yall had a D1 kid. I'm assuming he was the big kid?

Yea, he supposedly has an offer from the Cal Bears...he is still young so there is room to grow up but there are other issues the kid has to deal with...hope he overcomes them and goes to college but the odds are stacked against him! And yes, the 16 points were hard earned!! He lost his composure at the end and got T'd up but he is just a hard nosed little guy and hates losing...and he has to much of his grandpa in him!!! LOL!!! Absolutely ove the way your guys play defense...the way it should be played!!!

  3. I agree...I was watching the race and couldn't believe that the wreck killed him. I saw multiple replays from different angles and it is still hard to believe that the accident killed him. I've seen so many brutal wrecks both on NASCAR tracks and on our roads when I worked as a paramedic that people walked away from. Like the old saying goes...when it's your time to go...you gone!!!

Great game for the Tatum Eagles in Area Playoffs tonight vs the Redwater Dragons. Defense was fast and furious. The Eagles held the Dragons to 12 first half points and their two leading scorers to 9 points combined. Jacorie Bradley led all scorers with 27, Luke Sigler with 13, EJ Lloyd with 11, Kollin Robinson 9, Jordan Chambers 7, Cooper Whiteus 6, Ashby Anthony 3, Tyler Nelson 2, and Cayden Tatum 1. The Eagles will meet Winnsboro next week in the Regional QuarterFinal Game TBA!

I agree, y'alls defense was great!! Our "D-1" was totally intimidated and pretty much quit in the first quarter. I have to brag just a little on my grandson. He ended up with 16 points and never quit hustling and trying till the end. He knew he better or I would have been all over him!! Congrats again on a great game!!

One has a chance at postseason the other playing basketball in bi district. However, they were probably hoping for another district. Putting them together with metroplex schools was ridiculous.

Every year the UIL does "ridiculous" pairings...many that have been much worse than the Lufkin situation was and have never changed their minds. The whole process is ridiculous.

Unless Redwater has some good ball handlers Tatum’s full court press will be too much for them.

Yes, that will be our downfall. We do have several that can, and should break any press but we don't have a clue how to do it. This is the coaches first year to coach...at any level...I'll just leave it at that.

    See yall Tuesday

Thanks for the vote of confidence!!! LOLOL!!! Just kiddin, I fully expect the same outcome, but I'm pretty sure Sabine was expecting to be playing on Tuesday too!!! Redwater has some talent but they are very young and it shows at times.

I believe the OC is the principal’s brother.  Could be wrong. Probably a done deal. Redwater will continue to Redwater!

That is correct. Don't have a clue if he has ever been a head coach or where he has been...not that it matters.

Fairfield is in a "rebuild" year. Team is young

Winny is in the same "rebuilding" mode!! All 5 starters will return I believe and their best shooter is a freshman!! The senior that would have made them extremely good was injured early or before the season started and hasn't played all year. Really feel sorry for her, she is an incredible athlete at multiple sports. Maybe one of the best softball players I have ever seen but doesn't play.

Sweet, that's gotta be a nice feeling.

    Redwater vs Tatum Round 2

Sad but true, it was nice to see the boys get to celebrate. I never had to experience losing seasons during my 27 years as a coach and I definitely took it for granted. The losing mentality that I have experienced watching my grandson from the stands is absolutely brutal. I was so lucky and blessed to have been on staffs with great coaches who knew way more than I did and allowed me to hang around and learn was so much fun. We also had good athletes to work with which makes a big difference!!  Unfortunately this excitement won't last long. But thankful for the celebration time I got to spend with my grandson!
