Yea, I've periodically checked several times and it doesn't list any rankings. There are dates that new rankings were supposed to come out, but they never did. It only lists the finishing order from the State Tournament last year.

Does anyone know the finishing order of the 3A State Team Tennis Tournament?

Congrats to Rockport. 13 spots is a great jump for them after that win.

They (#22 Rockport) beat #8 Wharton 15-4? And #8 Wharton beat #6 La Feria 11-8? It seems like Rockport needs to be top 6, the new rankings in a few days will be intriguing.

Isnt this why we play the game? I dont understand why someone would want to change the format thats been in place for years. The tournament brings a different type of atmosphere for the players and more competition/practice. Thats like saying, well the Patriots went undefeated all year but when it came down to the playoffs they lost in the Superbowl...but hey that shouldnt matter because they went undefeated and on paper they were the better team and had this and that go wrong for them. The Patriots are now the Superbowl Champions for what they did during the regular season. NO, this is precisely why we play the game. Who brings it, when it matters the most. Its not how you start, its how you finish. Im not talking trash because I have no pull towards either team, but this is getting ridiculous. Winners of the match be gracious, losers of the match be gracious in defeat as well and learn from the mistakes that were made.

Okay sorry about that. When I was in high school there wasnt playbacks in Team Tennis. Either way it seems like you still got to try to get passed the semis and if you lose in the finals hope that the lineup is strong enough to give you a shot at 2nd in the playback. The way it was done, there was no way they even had the shot at a playback.

I have nothing to do with this, but I couldnt help but say something. This has turned into a much bigger mess then it should be. Its very simple, that is why you play the game. Any given day anybody can win. You always hear people say one point at a time or one game at a time and so on. It looks like this was the case here because their line up was set for the finals. They simply looked past Hallsville even though they knew they had a close regular season match with them. That was a risk they had to take with making that line up hoping they would beat them and have it set correctly to take the title. I would of set it to get past the semis to guarantee a regional berth, but thats irrelevant. Kilgore had a great season, but unfortunately for them its not how you start, its how you finish. They just happen to be on the wrong end of this one. This will make for a very interesting team tennis season next year. Congrads to Jville, Hallsville, and Kilgore..sounds like it was an interesting season over there. Tennis needs this competitiveness to come back. Peace.
