  1. Tatum beat New Boston 74-51 and beat Woden 80-43
  2. No it wouldn't be ok to cuss in front of a 3 year old. But we are talking about high school boys. Almost all of them use profanity every single day for no reason. They don't say "hey coach cusses so I guess we can too." They are gonna cuss whether or not the coach does. Now I don't think that a coach has to cuss in all given situations but when he does, it shouldn't be a problem. And I'm not sure if the "I was cussed at when I was in football so it's ok for me to" is what is trying to be said. It may be. But I think it's more a question of why? Why is it that when most older guys were in high school playing football, they would get cussed at and nobody have a problem with it? Why is it such a problem now but it wasn't then? And does it bother the players when a coach cusses? If the argument is made that a coach can go without using profanity to get the same point across, then couldn't the argument go the other way too? If cussing is used to belittle or embarrass a player then it shouldn't be acceptable whatsoever. But if it's just used to get a point across, how does cussing make it so bad if in the end the same point gets made? What is it that bothers the player exactly? Is it that they can't handle the heat? If a coach is gonna get in their face and yell and scream at them, what difference does it make if he cusses? I can agree that you can get the same point across without cussing. But to me, that's why it isn't a problem. If a coach yells and screams at me, i'm gonna feel the same way afterwards whether he cusses or not. I'm not saying a coach SHOULD cuss but I just can't say I see a problem with it if he does. Especially since most players cuss at each other every day.
