  1. I think that Lindale and Van is a pretty storied rivalry.
  2. Whitehouse is playing at 4:30 on Saturday. I don't know who they're playing though.
  3. Okay, I was at the game last night and here are my thoughts.. First of all, I enjoyed watching a Texas High School football game. It was a good game until the last few minutes. I think that Lindale came out with a great gameplan in the first half. Lindale executed and was running and passing fairly easy in the 1st half. At halftime, Henderson made the necessary adjustments and it seemed as Lindale made no adjustments. Henderson came out in the second half and just completely dominated Lindale. Henderson scored 29 unanswered points and played a better 2nd half than Lindale. For some reason, Lindale came out completely flat out of halftime and never got going. Way too many turnovers in the 2nd half. All in all it was a good game. Good job Lindale, y'all had a good season, and Henderson, keep it up. I'll be cheering.
  4. I really don't see why identity is such a big deal!! buttttt It's almost GAMETIME!!!!
  5. Lindale has always been the underdog in 4A, and now that they're in 3A again they are once agian the underdog. Lindale always perfoms well being the underdog and I don't expect anything different this Friday. You say Henderson has too much speed for Lindale, but in the past Lindale has been successful against fast teams before (Paris, Henderson, Jacksonville). I think it will be a good game, and I still see Lindale coming out on top.
  6. From what I understand, Poteet switched to the spread offense this year and by the looks of things, it's been successful. I just think that in the end, Taylor, Aldridge, Shelton, and of course Metoyer will be too much for the Pirates.
  7. I'm gonna pick Lindale in this one just because I'm from Lindale, but one thing concerns me about Lindale. They're putting up amazing numbers on offense and not letting teams score very much against them, but I think that it may just be the competition they're facing. This is a good chance for Lindale to come out and make a statement against a very good Henderson team. I'm taking Lindale 38-24
  8. I'm picking Whitehouse to win in this one. I'm in college and there is a kid here that played for Poteet last year and my roommate is from Whitehouse so should be an interesting week up here.
  9. The past 2 years has nothing to do with this season. The seniors the past 2 years have graduated and gone on so it means nothing for this year, and all footballcrazy10 was saying is the past 2 times they've played the Eagles have won. In 2008 they won by 8, and in 2009 they won by 14. Should be an interesting match-up if it comes down to that. Wish I could be there to watch.
  10. Amen my friend.. Amen. It looks real nice too!
  11. I think Whitehouse will easily roll over RC and it looks J. Aldridge has emerged as a big play threat to accompany Metoyer, which is dangerous for teams playing Whitehouse because now you have to worry about more than just Metoyer. Then, if you think you can stop the passing game, you have to worry about the run game. Whitehouse looks very balanced this year and it will be interesting to find out how far they go this post season.
  12. How about you make sure Henderson makes it to the second round before you go making predictions...and Lindale has beat Henderson the past 2 years when they were in the same district to don't go getting too confident... but as far as the Lindale/North Forney game goes, it should be a relatively easy game for Lindale.. much like all their district games. I expect Lindale to rest their starters second half and start preparing for either Henderson or North Lamar.
