  1. This is information is completely inaccurate. The 110 Congress introduced well over 8000 bills, not all of them passed of course and I think this is the distinction you are missing. It is the same case with the 111th Congress, which to this point has introduced just over 6300 bills. This is just the House in both cases I am not including Senate bills and joint bills, etc... As far as enacting bills into law, the 111th Congress and the President have so far to date passed 202 bills into law, by contrast the previous Congress (110th) enacted 460 and the 109th enacted 483.
