Ags beat Rice this evening after losing to Houston last night. Aggie softball lost their first game as well today to #14 Michigan

A&M took 2 from NW State in midweek action. Offense is putrid, but pitching has been solid. Other scores I saw from last night were Baylor beating Pepperdine and SHSU topping Texas.

Ags lost 2 of 3 to Pepperdine. Pitching is there just aren't hitting.

Marquise Goodwin ran a 4.27 40.......Ryan Swope ran a 4.34. Guys helped themselves tremendously with those 40 times lol

Kingsbury had something in contract stating he had a say in the design of the uniforms and whatnot. Just trying to play to the recruits I guess

Aggie softball is at 10-0 and ranked 10th. Played 19th ranked UCLA and 23rd ranked UNC twice. They haven't shut them out though lol. Been hitting lots of bombs tho.

Figured we could get this one started. Figured we could all just pitch in and give updates on our respected teams. A&M is off to a 3-1 start following a series win over UIC and a win last night over SFA. Got TX Southern this evening and Pepperdine this weekend. Pretty tough schedule for the Ags this year with series against Pepperdine, Fullerton, and games at Minute Maid with Rice, Houston and North Carolina. Not to mention competing in the competitive SEC not sure were the Ags end up this year.

I'd say prolly a 1/3 of their plays used a tight end. Nehemiah Hicks got the most PT there. Good player just has too many drops. Cameron Clear is already on campus after transferring in from one of the Arizona JC's. He started as a true freshman at Tennessee before getting into trouble. Supposed to be about 275-280 and able to run, I'm pretty excited to see how they use him.

Griffin signed a LOI with Miami today for football and basketball. Story is on ESPN, can't link it because I'm on phone. Best of luck to the kid.

You should read how points are awarded in this competition. Then research what these 'rich' schools did in fall sports. Plus, why would someone 'pay off' someone to win a $1,000 scholarship?

He might be saying that because every time JT has lost or didn't play that good you and the rest of the bandwagon has gave a good excuse as to why. Recruiting trips, our football players aren't back, etc. The way you guys have talked all season once JT was full strength and had their horses back, they were ' the team to beat' in this district.

We all know financially UT is the kingpin. The dumpster fire I was referring to was all the negative press that has been around UT recently.

I may have, still crappy IMO for a guy in Dodd's position to be taking shots at other athletic programs when his is in a current dumpster fire.

Dodds is an arrogant fool. Their last year in the Big 12 Mizzou beat them in football, 3-0 in basketball, 3-1 in baseball and 2-1 in softball.

Sumlin said he's closer to 300-305 now, which I like a lot. He'll get plenty of PT next year. And I would say we gave y'all Huggins but I saw where he signed with TVCC.

I figure we only have Manziel another year or 2, and I think it's pretty much him after JFF. Well, I guess it's actually between Hill and Matt Davis but Hill seems to be a much better passer.

I expect all 3 DT's to play immediately, especially after Kirby Ennis's stupidness. Thinking Chevis will play this yr too, dudes a load in the middle. Kam Miles and Ellis should see time in the secondary. The WR class is just sick.

VY without a doubt. I watched a lot of him and a lot of RG3. RG3 had plenty of talent around him. Big 12 leading rusher, 1st round pick at receiver, and one of the better O-Lines in the conference. Plus, VY got the ultimate goal IMO, the NC, and in that game put on of the greatest performances of all time. And like they said earlier, look at Florence's numbers this year......

Daeshon Hall could be next, word has it his mom isn't moving to Washington anymore and he apparently really likes A&M.....we shall see
